There are a lot of adjustable dumbbell models on the market at various price points, but Bowflex is still the most recognizable brand that all others are compared to.

The SelectTech dumbbells have been around for a long time. Many people, including myself, have used them for well over a decade with no problems. The structural components and moving parts are made of metal wrapped in plastic and rubber to protect against dings, deaden vibrations, and provide better grip. The "Results Series" is just an aesthetic redesign of the original Bowflex SelectTech 552 dumbbells that happened after Johnson Health Tech took over all of Bowflex's assets.
