We have a new Spider-Man: Brand New Day trailer, and it reveals a first look at Hulk in the movie, as well as a glimpse at Sadie Sink's mystery character.

The trailer, below, starts off with Tom Holland's Spider-Man expressing concern about a change that he's going through, one that he's struggling to control. He seems to lose it in a fight with Scorpion, played by Michael Mando. Later, Peter Parkier lies in bed, depressed, watching social media videos featuring his ex-girlfriend, Michelle "MJ" Jones-Watson, and best friend Ned, neither of whom know who he is following the events of No Way Home.

Parker discovers that he is actually producing webs from his wrists and, suitably freaked out, he seeks help from Bruce Banner. He asks Banner about supressing mutating DNA, and in response the Avenger reveals he uses a device to prevent him losing control as the Hulk. Clearly, Spider-Man isn't having the best of times.

We then move on to talk of Brand New Day's mysterious villain, someone described as "a threat we can't control, one we can't even see." At this point we get the briefest of looks at Sadie Sink's character, who has yet to be confirmed. Most believe she is Jean Grey, but as it stands, we don't know for sure.

What follows is some sort of pulse, perhaps a psychic blast, that appears to freeze the people of New York in place. Spider-Man is said to be the only person who is immune to this power, and the only person who can sense it, presumably due to his Spider-Sense power. It looks like whoever is behind this can inhabit the mind of whoever they please, shifting from person to person. Spider-Man, though, appears able to tell, and gives chase. Who, or what, are they looking for? Spider-Man, perhaps?

Later, we see Peter speak with Ned and MJ, who is in a romantic relationship with someone. The mystery villain inhabits the mind of a passer by, and threatens MJ in front of Spider-Man. Have they worked out the superhero's true identity by this point?

Spider-Man confronts the villain, and says they're "not going to get away with this." In a voice that sounds like Bruce Banner's, someone says: "But he might." It's at this point that we see the device Banner was wearing before destroyed, and Hulk emerges. Did Sadie Sink's character take over Banner's mind and smash the device?

It looks like the Hulk is trying to hurt MJ, and so Spider-Man tries to help her. He asks her to trust him, and she agrees. The pair swing away, eventually asking The Punisher for help. We then see Spider-Man, complete with jet black eyes, fight The Hand (evil ninjas) in what looks like a powered-up form. Aunt May issues words of wisdom from beyond the grave.

The trailer leaves us with a number of unanswered questions. We still don't know who Sadie Sink is playing. Does the Hulk eventually join forces with Spider-Man and the Punisher? Is there another big bad in the movie the good guys must face? And how does all this tie into the ongoing MCU and its future? while we wait to find out, check out IGN's breakdown of the new Spider-Man: Brand New Day trailer.

The world may have forgotten Peter Parker, but he hasn’t forgotten them."

Spider-Man: Brand New Day hits theaters July 31, 2026.
