I'm a software engineer who writes, or a writer who engineers to pay for the time to write — the distinction has never been fully resolved. This site is where I put things that don't fit anywhere more sensible. By day I design systems and interfaces. By night I write fiction, translations of forgotten Spanish texts, and short pieces about the quiet disasters of making things. Occasionally I write about other things entirely and pretend there is a unifying theme.
