Some domain name platforms are building integrations with AI tools using MCP (Model Context Protocol). On this week’s podcast, we talked about one such integration from Instant Domain Search.

Unstoppable Domains has leaned big into AI and enables you to manage your domain name portfolio through your favorite AI chat tool.

In the video below, you’ll see how it works. It’s good at tasks involving specific domains, such as changing the nameservers for one of your domains or renewing a domain name.

While neat, these are things that are easily done within your registrar account. I think where this has the potential to change how domain owners manage their portfolios is for portfolio analysis.

Unfortunately, this is still rough around the edges, as you’ll see in the video. It has difficulty reviewing all the domains in your portfolio, and you can’t trust its answers. (In fairness, at least it tells you about its limits.)

I’m certain that these tools will get better with time.
