A head-on crash in New Hampshire’s Coos County on Friday left a 25-year-old woman dead and five family members, including three children, injured, according to State Police.

Just after 9 p.m., troopers responded to the crash on Route 3. A 2012 Chevrolet Camaro, driven by the 25-year-old woman, Courtney Diamond, of Pelham, reportedly crossed the centerline traveling north “for reasons that remain under investigation,” striking a 2021 Chevrolet Silverado that was going south, a preliminary investigation determined.

Several good Samaritans stopped to help, police said. Diamond was ultimately pronounced dead at the scene.

The family of five was in the Silverado pickup. Three of them suffered life-threatening injuries, and two non-life-threatening, police said. All five were taken to Upper Connecticut Valley Hospital and then Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, where they remained Saturday. There were no updates on their conditions.

The crash is under investigation. Coos County comprises the northern tip of the state.
