A Massachusetts state trooper was struck Thursday night during a highway detail in Quincy, authorities said.
The incident occurred around 10:35 p.m. on Interstate 93, where the trooper was stationed in a cruiser. At the time, the two left lanes were closed due to roadwork, according to a statement from State Police.
Another vehicle struck the cruiser the trooper was in, police said.
Following the collision, the trooper, whose identity was not released, was taken to Boston Medical Center to be treated for “minor injuries,” according to the MSP statement.
The crash remains under investigation.
