The puppy's owners were shopping at the Dedham mall, officials say.
A 5-month-old puppy was rescued Monday after being left in a hot vehicle parked in Dedham, authorities said.
The husky had been left at Legacy Place while its owners were shopping, according to a statement Dedham Animal Control posted on Facebook.
They reported the temperature inside the car exceeded 100 degrees.
“Balancing compassion fatigue with intense infuriation is a heavy emotional reality for us, but we will keep championing for these pets for as long as they need us,” the statement reads.
Dedham Animal Control thanked Legacy Place security for their assistance and for alerting them of the puppy.

Officials did not specify if charges would be filed or the current condition of the puppy.
“Remember, ‘If you see something, say something,’” Dedham Animal Control said. “Your call may save a life.”
