Alexandra Daddario and Kit Harington were also spotted among the World Cup crowd.
So apparently Marcus Mumford wasn’t just making conversation when he pumped up his native England (and dissed our new favorite people in the world, the Scottish) at Monday’s Mumford & Sons show at Fenway Park. The band wasted no time hoofing it out to Boston (née Gillette) Stadium the next day to root on their countrymen in person.
The London-based folk rockers — who by all accounts lit Fenway on fire Monday night, rain be darned — got caught by a Getty photographer yucking it up in a box during the Group L World Cup match, although it’s safe to say they were not giddy about the game’s final result: a surprising 0-0 draw between England and Ghana.

If you believe in such things you might presume that the outcome was some sort of karmic punishment for Marcus Mumford’s anti-Scottish sentiments. “I am so sorry the Scottish brought the rain with them,” Marcus Mumford told the Boston crowd Monday night. “I told you they were bastards.”
“Thank God the English are here to clear it all up,” he continued. Sounds like something a limey would say.
Meanwhile, the Mumfords were not the only luminaries to take in Tuesday’s match. “Game of Thrones” actor Kit Harington — you know him as Jon Snow — got spotted on the big screen. And actress Alexandra Daddario, of “Percy Jackson,” “True Detective,” and “White Lotus” fame, posted a selfie to Instagram from the crowd. If you look closely, you’ll see her capturing another rather famous attendee between her fingers: retired English soccer superstar David Beckham.
Beckham, for his part, looked none too pleased at the fact that his hometown team couldn’t seem to put it in the back of the net. But we’re sure it was still a jolly night out in Foxborough for the celebrated midfielder and his son, Cruz.

World Cup matches continue in Foxborough on Friday, when Norway takes on France at 3 p.m. We’ll be on the lookout for any French or Norwegian celebrities; lacking any concrete information, we’re going to predict that Liv Ullmann may show up.
