Visitors will have the opportunity to view more than 50 tall ships.

Sail Boston has released the full list of berthing locations for the historic tall ships participating in the July 11-16 maritime festival. 

Following the July 11 Parade of Sail, more than 60 tall ships and military vessels from around the world will dock at berths across Charlestown, downtown Boston, and the Seaport area, where they will remain for the duration of Sail Boston 250, organizers announced.

Several of the festival’s marquee ships will be concentrated in the Seaport District, within walking distance of the Sail Boston Festival at 302 Northern Ave. Among them are Italy’s Amerigo Vespucci, often called the pride of the Italian Navy, and Argentina’s Libertad, one of the largest and fastest tall ships in the world. 

A temporary berth, “Wharf 8,” will be accessible from the Boston Harborwalk behind the Leader Bank Pavilion. The area will host several notable vessels, including the Ernestina-Morrissey — the official State Ship of Massachusetts, based in New Bedford — along with the Dominican Republic’s Juan Bautista Cambiaso, Nantucket’s Lynx, and Sweden’s HMS Gladen.

At the historic Boston Fish Pier, visitors will find three Class A ships: Germany’s Gorch Fock, India’s Sudarshini, and Portugal’s Sagres.

Nearby at the newly refurbished Commonwealth Pier, the fleet’s two largest vessels — Peru’s BAP Unión and Chile’s Esmeralda — will be among the featured attractions. 

Charlestown will host 18 vessels, including Romania’s Mircea and Poland’s Dar Młodzieży at Pier 4. The U.S. Coast Guard’s American Eagle will be berthed at Pier 1 behind the USS Constitution, which will lead the Parade of Sail.  

At Rowes Wharf, adjacent to the Boston Harbor Hotel, visitors can view the Netherlands’ Oosterschelde and Delaware’s Kalmar Nyckel. Nine vessels from the East Coast, including several Massachusetts-based ships, will be docked at the Moakley Courthouse. 

Fan Pier will host four vessels, including the Mayflower II of Plymouth and Texas-based Elissa. The gray-hulled USS Arlington will be berthed at the Black Falcon Cruise Terminal alongside TS Patriot State, the training ship of the Massachusetts Maritime Academy. 

Public ship viewing will be available from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily from July 12 through July 15. At Boston Fish Pier, viewing and boarding will begin at noon July 12 and at 2 p.m. on July 13-15. Visitors may board participating vessels during public hours, subject to each captain’s discretion, according to Sail Boston officials. 

On July 11, ship viewing and boarding opportunities will depend on individual arrival times and each vessel’s readiness to receive guests. Organizers said most ships are expected to be open for visitation by 5 p.m.
