A Cape Cod hotel will debut its signature restaurant on Friday, where the team will serve up more than food and beverages.

The mystic-inspired restaurant Gypsy Sol is opening at The Uncommoner Hotel in West Yarmouth on May 15, where guests will order craft cocktails and small plates and also engage in unique programming.

The eclectic 100-room boutique hotel first opened last season on July 1. The restaurant’s original late summer/fall 2025 opening was pushed to 2026 because officials were “committed to creating a space that’s not only beautiful and welcoming, but also responsible and sustainable for the long term,” the team wrote on the hotel’s website.

The restaurant’s vibe is “relaxed luxury,” according to a press release, with indoor and outdoor seating, fire pits, and lounge-style spaces overlooking Lewis Bay.

Programming will include tarot card readers, sound bath experiences, and “Class & A Glass” wellness events that pair food and beverages with movement and community classes. Live music, yoga and pilates, and fire pit gatherings will round out the offerings. The programs will be open to the community as well as hotel guests.

The deck has a “magical, bohemian setting,” the team wrote.

“We’ve been quietly building this out, and now that the deck is ready, it finally feels like what we had in mind,” wrote officials on social media on May 2. “Not trying to be everything — just a really good spot, done right.”

Gypsy Sol is led by Boston-based Chef Mark Cina, whose background includes Yvonne’s in Boston, Proprietors Bar & Table on Nantucket, and Michelin-starred kitchens in San Francisco. His dishes will blend New England ingredients with Mediterranean and globally-inspired influences.

The menu will feature a raw bar, Mediterranean grazing boards, and seasonally-driven seafood and vegetable dishes designed for sharing.

Opening menu highlights include Gypsy Sol Oysters with champagne sabayon and caviar; za’atar seared tuna with avocado mousse and grapefruit; lamb and beef kofta with shawarma yogurt; crab-crusted local fluke with Southeast Asian herb curry; and a mezze spread featuring hummus, muhammara, baba ganoush, marinated olives, and whipped feta.

Patrons will sip drinks inspired by tarot, astrology, and travel, which will include zodiac-inspired cocktails, spirit-forward whiskey, and communal cocktails presented in smoking cauldrons.

Also opening inside Gypsy Sol on Friday is Arcana Cafe, serving locally roasted and freshly brewed coffee, pastries, and grab-and-go bites.

“Together, the spaces are intended to create an atmosphere that evolves throughout the day — from morning wellness gatherings and coffee service to cocktails, dinner, and live music at night,” wrote the team.

The Uncommoner Hotel is part of independent hospitality group Reverie Boutique Collection. The hotel’s design was inspired by 1930s Marseille, with curated public spaces that include indoor lounges, indoor and outdoor pools, a lawn games area, and communal fire pits.

“Opening week will be limited, a little unpolished, and probably the best time to come by,” wrote officials on social media.
