It is updated live and reflects current conditions at each checkpoint.
Logan Airport travelers can now monitor security line wait times before going to the airport.
Massport announced the new technology, which offers a real-time look at wait times across the airport’s security checkpoints, on Monday. Travelers can access the digital tool, which was developed with an outside vendor, on the Logan website and FlyLogan app.
The technology, originally slated for rollout in mid-April, uses cameras to monitor the length and speed of the lines and does not record details of individuals but nondescript forms, according to The Boston Globe.
“Providing our passengers with a smooth and predictable travel experience is a top priority for Massport,” said Rich Davey, Massport CEO, in a statement. “We are proud to have some of the lowest wait times in the country. Through making wait times live and easily accessible, we’re providing passengers with another tool in order to plan their travels and navigate the airport with ease.”

A similar system is in place at airports in Denver and Atlanta.
The new digital tool is part of Massport’s ongoing efforts to improve the customer experience.
Logan Airport ranked No. 10 in the the 20th annual J.D. Power 2025 North America Airport Satisfaction Study, released in the fall, the same ranking as in 2024 but with a higher score and an improvement from its previous ranking of No. 16 in 2023 and No. 17 in 2022.
