The local chain’s newest location opens Tuesday on West Broadway.
Anna’s Taqueria is bringing $3.50 burritos to South Boston, but only for one day.
The local chain will open its newest location at 457 West Broadway on Tuesday, marking Anna’s 14th restaurant location. To celebrate the Southie debut, the shop will offer its signature super burritos for $3.50 — the same price customers paid when Anna’s first opened in 1995, according to a release.
The one-day deal is available in-store only, with a limit of one burrito per person. Premium add-ons will cost extra.
Opening-day festivities will also include a prize wheel, a Magic Mirror photo booth, stickers, tote bags, and other Anna’s merchandise. The first 100 guests will receive a limited-edition Anna’s Southie T-shirt.

Inspired by the Mexican street food culture in San Francisco’s Mission District, Anna’s opened its first location in Brookline in 1995 and has since built a cult following.

The new location will serve Anna’s full menu, including its oversized burritos, tacos, quesadillas, bowls, and salads. For a limited time, customers can also order the Big Papi Burrito — a David Ortiz-designed creation made with steak, chipotle sauce, Mexican rice, sweet peppers, fajita vegetables, avocado, queso fresco, pinto beans, cilantro, and onions. According to the company, $1 from each Big Papi Burrito sold will be donated to the David Ortiz Children’s Fund.
