An 85-year-old Hudson man has died after being struck by a vehicle on Main Street, authorities announced Friday.
Hudson police responded to the area of 79 Main St. around 11:40 a.m. on June 6, after receiving reports that a pedestrian, later identified as James Calf, had been hit by a vehicle.
When first responders arrived, they found the man suffering from injuries “consistent with a crash,” police said in a press release. He was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
On Monday, the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner told Hudson police that Calf had died from his injuries.
The driver, who was not identified, remained at the scene following the crash, according to police.
Details surrounding the circumstances of the crash were not released, and police have not announced any charges.
The incident remains under investigation by the Hudson Police Department, the Massachusetts State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section, and the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office.
