A Back Bay hotel has entered a new chapter after a multi-million dollar renovation.
The 401-room Hilton Boston Back Bay just revealed a redesigned lobby, guest rooms, fitness room, meeting rooms, and restaurant. The previously 390-room hotel also added more guest rooms by converting meeting rooms, reported The Boston Business Journal.
“Back Bay has always been one of Boston’s most dynamic districts, and today that energy is only accelerating,” said Mohamed Hashesh, general manager of Hilton Boston Back Bay, in a statement. “Here on Dalton Street, we’re at the epicenter of the momentum shaping the neighborhood’s next chapter. Our renovation was inspired by that energy, bringing guests a more contemporary Hilton experience defined by thoughtful design, elevated dining, wellness, and technology.”
The new lobby features patterned marble surfaces, walnut millwork, and copper accent lighting.
The guest rooms and suites, which offer sweeping views of the Charles River and Boston’s skyline, were redone with natural finishes and plush detailing, electronic drapes, 66-inch TVs, and smart connectivity features.

Guests can choose from king beds or two queen beds and expansive walk-in showers were added to the bathrooms. The premium rooms boast 450 square feet of living space.

Forty Dalton Kitchen & Bar, which serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner, now has a more modern look. The menu features American comfort food with regional inspiration.

The hotel’s meeting space spans 15,000 square feet across 13 rooms. The executive boardrooms and conference rooms feature brushed brass detailing and skylights. There are flexible breakout spaces, ballrooms, and dedicated pre-function areas.
This summer, the hotel will open The Commonwealth, a 2,500-square-foot banquet room with plenty of natural light.

The 3,500-square foot indoor and outdoor fitness center was expanded and features Life Fitness equipment; strength training areas with stretching bands, stability balls, and an array of weights; rowing machines; and Peloton bikes. An outdoor space is designed for movement classes and private programming.

Hilton Boston Back Bay management says it plans to introduce wellness partnerships and rooftop fitness programming.
The renovated hotel is “at the center of Boston’s cultural landscape,” according to the team, with Newbury Street and Copley Place two blocks away, Hynes Convention Center and The Shops at Prudential Center across the street, and Berklee College of Music next door.
The rates are seasonal and start at $199.
