Omnissa Sovereign Solution: The modern path to sovereign digital workspaces

In the current regulatory and geopolitical climate, data sovereignty is no longer just an option, it’s a necessity. At Omnissa, we are meeting this need head-on. We’re proud to introduce the Omnissa Sovereign Solution for Workspace ONE—a modern UEM environment that is locally hosted, serviced, and supported by a chosen technology partner—so you (the customer) are able to meet your regulatory and sovereignty requirements.

The demand for sovereign solutions is being driven by three key forces:

  1. European and national regulations like GDPR, Germany's BDSG, and France's CNIL require strict compliance.
  2. Foreign jurisdiction laws, like the U.S. CLOUD Act, create uncertainties regarding control of European data and companies want to manage that risk.
  3. Strategic autonomy: Organizations are seeking to reduce their reliance on non-EU cloud providers and strengthen Europe’s digital ecosystem

The need for sovereignty is growing across all industries. The EU is leading the way with comprehensive regulations like the Data Protection Act and NIS2, alongside initiatives like GAIA-X. These frameworks are setting new standards for data protection and security that organizations must meet.

Beyond compliance, there are also significant security risks to consider. The Omnissa Sovereign Solution supports risk management with a secure, partner-hosted and serviced localized UEM environment for your data. You get the benefits of a modern SaaS solution without compromising on security or control.

Mod Stack—foundation for a sovereign SaaS UEM solution

True sovereignty means having full control over your data, your services, and the providers who support them. Empowering partners with a modern UEM solution that they can host within their fully private datacenters in the region ensures you have that control over where your data and services reside.

At Omnissa ONE, we unveiled how that is made possible by our new Mod Stack (or modern stack) SaaS architecture for Workspace ONE. As we explained on stage— Mod Stack was a foundational investment that meant rearchitecting Workspace ONE from the ground up. One of the outcomes was infrastructure neutrality. Meaning Workspace ONE can be deployed and scaled across public clouds to private sovereign deployments. meeting customers unique regulatory requirements. This unlocks highly-qualified technology partners to fully host the Workspace ONE UEM environment in their private data centers—and be able to—deliver a best-of-breed and modern UEM SaaS solution to their customers in the region.

This foundational architecture is designed so that the service, data, and support operations are handled by a qualified partner. Our commitment to regulatory assurance extends to our contractual agreements, allowing you to contract directly with local entities in full compliance with both national and European laws.

Go-to-market: Who benefits from the Sovereign Solution?

Our Sovereign Solution is designed for two main groups. First, it serves highly regulated customers in critical infrastructure sectors like energy, finance, healthcare, and public services, who are often restricted from using SaaS solutions located outside their geography. Second, it helps our on-premises customers modernize their environments, improve operational efficiency, and embrace the future of work.

The Omnissa Sovereign Solution for Workspace ONE is currently available in Germany and Austria. We are also planning a rapid expansion into other markets driven by customer demand. To deliver this solution with the highest standards, we teamed up with GEMA International, a recognized leader in hosting and managed mobility services with deep expertise in Workspace ONE.

Through this technology partnership, we can accelerate the rollout of our solution and respond quickly to customer and partner demands. GEMA also operates a modern training center to ensure that our service providers and customers are fully equipped to operate the solution in line with all regulatory and operational requirements.

The future is sovereign and collaborative

We are committed to scaling this solution to meet global customer needs. The future of sovereign SaaS is bright, but to truly succeed it needs collaborative innovation. We invite customers and resell partners to collaborate with us as we prioritize new markets and expand our offerings.

What if your digital workspace could be both modern and fully compliant? With the Omnissa Sovereign Solution, it can. Together—let's define how work, works for you.
