Three IT challenges that Omnissa Secure Access Suite aims...
Wendy Leung · 2026-03-24 · via Omnissa

As my colleague said “Omnissa is continuing with our mission to deliver secure, end user-friendly work experiences.”

At Omnissa ONE Amsterdam 2025, we announced Omnissa Secure Access Suite, including Google Chrome Enterprise Premium to deliver secure browser-based access to web applications and data. This capability empowers IT teams to better protect data, enforce policies, and support flexible work without compromising user experience.

Our mission continues with this announcement as it enhances our platform to better address the needs of users whose primary focus is SaaS and browser-based productivity. Let me share details of 3 challenges we aim to ease with Omnissa Secure Access Suite:

1. Unmanaged devices, BYOD, and contractor access

Bring your own device (BYOD) forces our customers to make tough decisions and compromises when it comes to security and flexibility. Omnissa Secure Access Suite with Google Chrome Enterprise Premium eliminates this trade-off by leveraging key security controls directly in the leading enterprise browser. Contractors, temporary workers and employees can work productively and securely on day one without installation requirements. The Chrome browser and Omnissa’s platform allow for authentication and immediate access to the apps and resources they need. Corporate data exchanged with both internal and public SaaS providers becomes observable and better protected while the boundaries of personal and private are respected.

2. Unauthorized sharing of corporate information

Generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) took the world by storm, forcing companies to prioritize protecting data, avoiding data misuse, and preventing data loss for our customers. The focus on data security controls has become more complex because of the rise of the distributed workforce and BYOD.

Omnissa Secure Access Suite helps our customers to monitor and control data usage to promote compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements and identify and address potential security threats before they cause harm. Our Omnissa platform provides capabilities to our customers to oversee and monitor device activities, allow policy-based security administration, and improve compliance with organizational standards. Omnissa Secure Access Suite includes Omnissa Access with conditional access capabilities. It includes multi-factor authentication (MFA) for enhanced security, along with Workspace ONE Tunnel for protecting data in transit between remote devices and corporate networks.

3. Fragmented security

As our CEO Shankar Iyer pointed out, fragmentation is holding us back, and this is especially true for security. Providing security and management across devices and browsers ensures data is protected whether it’s at rest, in use, or in flow. The Omnissa Secure Access Suite leverages the Omnissa platform, allowing customers to combine management and security controls so that end users benefit from productivity enhancements, security protections, and streamlined access to get work done.

Forrester’s Q2 2024 Pulse Survey highlights that a staggering 77% of US technology decision-makers report moderate to extensive levels of technology sprawl.

At Omnissa, we believe that secure work shouldn’t be complicated. By mitigating trade-offs, better protecting data, and simplifying toolsets, we’re helping organizations unlock the full potential of their workforce and drive transformation wherever they are, on whatever device they choose. This is our mission and I invite you to join our journey.

Organizations that lead this revolution will define the future of work for everyone else” - Shankar Iyer, Omnissa CEO.
