Omnissa achieves FedRAMP High Authorization for Workspace ONE
Phil Hickson · 2026-05-22 · via Omnissa

The Omnissa Government Services (OGS) team is excited to share that the OGS FedRAMP High environment received a Federal agency Authorization to Operate (ATO) on March 20, 2026. This authorization allows the environment to operate at the FedRAMP High impact level and support Workspace ONE’s existing production workloads for U.S. government customers.

FedRAMP, or the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program, is a U.S. government-wide program that establishes standardized security, risk assessment, and continuous monitoring requirements for cloud service providers. It enables federal agencies to adopt cloud technologies more efficiently while ensuring sensitive government data is protected through rigorous, independently validated security controls. Achieving FedRAMP authorization is a critical requirement for cloud solutions used by federal agencies—and one of the highest bars for cloud security in the industry.

Since earning its first FedRAMP Moderate authorization in 2016, Workspace ONE has helped customers in highly regulated environments securely manage devices and deliver applications at scale. FedRAMP Moderate supports workloads involving controlled, but less sensitive, government data. That foundation expanded with the move to FedRAMP High in 2023, which is designed for the most sensitive unclassified data—where a security breach could have severe or catastrophic impact to government operations.

Now, with this latest FedRAMP High ATO, Omnissa aligns the authorization fully under the Omnissa brand and positions Omnissa to use the authorized system to meet other public sector requirements. This milestone reinforces our ongoing commitment to delivering industry‑leading digital workspace solutions for organizations with the most demanding security, resilience, and compliance requirements.

“We see ourselves as a long‑term partner to the federal government—not just a technology provider. Our investments in compliance, resilience, and digital experience are designed to support agencies today while preparing them for what comes next,” says Zack Zimmerman, vice president of Omnissa Federal.

FedRAMP isn’t the finish line. We continue to expand our compliance footprint to meet the evolving needs of public sector customers. To broaden access beyond federal agencies, we’re making our FedRAMP services available to state, local, tribal, and education (SLED) organizations through a recently approved GovRAMP authorization. You can find the Omnissa Government Services (OGS) listing on the GovRAMP Authorized Products List (APL).

We’re also working closely with the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) to obtain a Provisional Authorization to Operate (P-ATO) at Impact Level 4 (IL4) in order to make our FedRAMP‑authorized services available to Department of Defense (DoD) customers. The system has recently received approvals to connect to the DISA Boundary Cloud Access Point (BCAP) —an important step toward final IL4 authorization. Authorized users can review these approvals on the DOD Cloud Authorization Services (DCAS) website.

FedRAMP High authorization enables customers to use Workspace ONE to meet related compliance requirements, including CMMC and the protection of Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI). It also marks a key milestone for Omnissa: we have achieved CMMC Level 2 authorization for our own internal use, leveraging our FedRAMP-authorized system to protect CUI—demonstrating our commitment to the same standards we deliver for our customers.

To support federal and highly regulated organizations, we’ve introduced new Workspace ONE Essentials SKUs that are FedRAMP-aligned for government use. These offerings include the same functionality as the commercial Workspace ONE Essentials SKUs but are designed to run exclusively within our FedRAMP High-authorized boundary. By packaging our capabilities into dedicated FedRAMP SKUs, agencies can adopt Workspace ONE and the Omnissa platform with confidence while meeting stringent regulatory requirements.

We’re excited to continue building trusted solutions for organizations with the most demanding regulatory requirements. For the latest updates on our public sector authorization activities, visit the Omnissa Trust Center.

The OGS team welcomes any questions at govt-services-team@omnissa.com.
