Meta description: With 60% of breaches tied to human error, Omnissa Pass delivers seamless, cost‑effective multifactor authentication built into the Omnissa platform.

Passwords alone are no longer enough to keep organizations secure. Cybercriminals have adapted to today’s business environment—where countless applications are accessed through global accounts and identities—and attacks like phishing, credential stuffing, and social engineering continue to rise. According to the 2025 Verizon Data Breach Investigations Report, 60% of breaches involve attackers exploiting the human element through these tactics.

To help organizations adopt stronger authentication methods, we are excited to introduce Omnissa Pass— our robust multifactor authentication (MFA)native to the Omnissa platform.  This tool is for customers who either don’t have an MFA solution today, or who are looking to consolidate tools, saving valuable dollars.  Read on to learn more about Omnissa Pass and how you can get started today.

What is Omnissa Pass?

Omnissa Pass is our MFA solution that makes secure access simple, seamless, and scalable. Because it is a part of the Omnissa Access  of our platform, it is simple for admins to select Pass as the step-up authentication method of choice. Employees can download the Omnissa Pass application on their mobile device.  Activation is simple, and IT teams can be assured that resources are safeguarded without slowing down productivity.

There are two tiers to Omnissa Pass: Basic and Advanced.  Omnissa Pass Basic (included in all Omnissa Access SaaS licensing) features.

  • Time based onetime passcode (TOTP) generation
  • Push notification login support
  • Device security checks, including jailbreak/compromise detection

Omnissa Pass Advanced – add-on $3/user/month

  • All features of Pass Basic
  • Phishing protections for push bombing notifications and MFA flood attack prevention
  • Future enhancements including device health reporting and support for FIDO2 credentials

Real world use case

Remote work often depends on Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) solutions like Omnissa Horizon to access sensitive resources. Omnissa Pass ensures every login to these environments is protected with an extra layer of security—keeping applications and data safe while employees remain productive.

Key benefits

  • Stronger security: Omnissa Pass requires multiple factors of authentication, such as a possession factor and biometrics, before granting access.
  • Cost savings: For existing Omnissa Access customers, Omnissa Pass Basic is included at no additional cost.
  • Platform consolidation: As Omnissa CEO Shanker Iyer noted, “fragmentation is holding us back.” Omnissa Pass is part of our unified platform, delivering unmatched integration, scale, and responsiveness.

Get started today

Multi-factor authentication is a critical component of modern cybersecurity strategies, providing protection beyond traditional passwords. By requiring multiple forms of verification, it reduces the risk of unauthorized access while enhancing security for both users and corporate assets. To help better protect your organization, get started with Omnissa Pass today.
