Directed and co-written by The Mandalorianseries creator Jon Favreau, with Lucasfilm president Dave Filoni, The Mandalorian and Grogu sees bounty hunter Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) hitting the big screen, teaming up with an early days New Republic and Colonel Ward (Sigourney Weaver) to eliminate Imperial war criminals. (Like the show, the film is set after Return of the Jedi and before The Force Awakens.)
Unveiled at CinemaCon, the trailer is action-packed, with plenty of Star Wars-level battles on an array of planets, and a herd of AT-ATs. But it also feels like one last ride for our two heroes...
