Transforming science engagement - with your help!

By Louis Stupple-Harris, Research and Campaigns Manager at the British Science Association

On Monday, we held a meeting with a group of brilliant, enthusiastic people that work in the science engagement sector to launch a piece of research we commissioned into our work and its impact. I'm excited to share this report publicly now and invite your feedback!

We employed social researcher Heather Mendick to look at the way we think about our work and audience model, and interview several of our grant applicants and stakeholders. Our aim was to build a picture of how our programmes have impact towards our vision, and even attempt to quantify the effects of our work. Heather’s report gives us a set of concrete recommendations for the future of the BSA’s work, which is helping us to plan our upcoming programmes and ideas. There's also a snappy Executive Summary so it's easy to get to grips with the overall picture.

At the meeting, we asked everyone to be critical and constructive, and we've now got a ton of ideas and tweaks that we're going to think about.

I'll let you get straight into the report, here. If you have any comments or thoughts, please do get in touch.
