From graduation exhibition to industry award: celebrating end of year success for architecture students
SophieSanghe · 2026-07-02 · via Professional and Continuing Education

PACE Architecture students have been celebrating a remarkable end to the academic year, with a graduation exhibition in London.

On 26 June, students showcased their final projects at the programme's first dedicated graduation exhibition, held at the Filet Gallery in central London. Drawings, models and research projects filled the gallery, offering employers, tutors, family and friends the opportunity to explore the creativity and professional expertise developed throughout the programme.

The exhibition attracted a strong audience despite the summer heat, including leading figures from the architectural profession. Special guests Simon Henley and Keith Williams attended alongside final project guest tutor Patrick Lynch, while many of the programme's employer partners came to support and celebrate the students' achievements.

The event was a collaborative effort, curated by student Gregor Ferguson of Weston Williamson + Partners and installed with support from fellow students Mo Patel, Luke Burrows, Rudy Logue and Jai Vij. The exhibition photography was provided by fellow student aB Mukadam of Corstorphine & Wright.

Helen Su and Jasmin Virdee winner their award

End of year Architecture celebrations continued when Helen Su and Jasmin Virdee, were named winners of the East Prop Apprentice of the Year Award 2026, sponsored by Savills. The award is an established fixture in the East Anglian construction and development sector and recognises outstanding achievement in professional practice and learning.

Helen recently completed her studies and has now qualified as an architect. Jasmin is currently concluding her second year of the programme. Alongside their studies, both have continued to develop their careers in practice, applying their learning to real-world projects and making a meaningful contribution to the profession.

Their success highlights the distinctive nature of architectural education at PACE, where advanced academic study is combined with professional practice. Students bring challenges and opportunities from the workplace into the classroom, while applying new knowledge and ideas directly to practice. This close relationship between learning and employment helps develop not only technical expertise, but also the confidence and professional judgement needed to thrive in the profession.

From gallery walls to industry awards, these achievements reflect the talent, ambition and commitment of our students. As one cohort celebrated the completion of major projects and another received recognition from the profession, both milestones offered a powerful reminder of what can be achieved when architectural study and practice come together.
