On May 16, 2026, JustTech was honored to support the Westmoreland Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR) during the inaugural Ramsdell Run 5K Run/Walk in Wayne County, West Virginia.
Held at Mitch Stadium in Ceredo, WV, the event brought together runners, walkers, families, and community members for a morning dedicated to promoting health, community engagement, and a meaningful cause: preserving the rich history and heritage of West Virginia.
The Ramsdell Run featured a fast, flat course through the neighboring communities of Ceredo and Kenova, welcoming participants of all ages and experience levels. More importantly, the event raised funds to support the Westmoreland Chapter’s ongoing efforts in historic preservation, education, and patriotism throughout the region.
Supporting Historic Preservation
The Westmoreland Chapter, NSDAR, works tirelessly to preserve and honor American history through initiatives that include:
- Marking gravesites of American Revolutionary War Patriots
- Cleaning and maintaining Patriot headstones
- Supporting the West Virginia Period Room at the DAR Museum in Washington, D.C.
- Publishing genealogical, burial, and military service records for Revolutionary War Patriots buried in West Virginia
- Maintaining the West Virginia Madonna of the Trail statue
These efforts help ensure that future generations can learn from and appreciate the sacrifices and stories of those who helped shape our nation.
Investing in Education
The chapter also champions educational programs that inspire students and strengthen local communities through:
- American History Essay Contests
- DAR Good Citizens recognition programs
- The Blanche L. Reymann Scholarship
- Literacy promotion initiatives
- Classroom support for educators
- Encouraging the study of the U.S. Constitution
- Conservation awareness programs
Honoring Service and Patriotism
Through its commitment to patriotism, the Westmoreland Chapter supports veterans, active-duty military personnel, and civic engagement by:
- Recognizing and honoring veterans
- Participating in Wreaths Across America
- Supporting Veterans Administration (VA) hospitals
- Taking part in community events and parades
- Encouraging respect for the American flag
- Supporting active-duty service members
- Participating in naturalization ceremonies
