Mini PCs are often mistaken for a budget downgrade compared to full-sized towers and laptops, but sometimes, premium-grade mini PCs come along to show that they can also hang with big-time desktops in terms of performance.
One of these ambitious examples is the Beelink SER9 Pro+, an all-rounder that can blaze through productivity workflows and even play mid-range games competently, and it's now on sale with an 18% discount for $748.98 at Amazon.
Why buy the Beelink SER9 Pro?
First off, the Beelink SER9 PRO+ has a compact form factor with 135 x 135 x 44.7mm dimensions, so you can easily fit it on your work desk without taking too much space, and easily store it in luggage bags while traveling.
It's also equipped with 32GB of RAM, an AMD Ryzen 7 H 255 CPU (with a max clock speed of 4.9GHz, 8 Cores and 16 Threads), an AMD Radeon 780M GPU, and a 1TB SSD.
This collection of hardware helps it confidently breeze through a variety of productivity workflow tasks in programs like Microsoft Office without having its systems make too much noise.
It's also a competent PC gaming option as it can run older games and indie titles at their max settings and even modern AAA titles at medium settings.
So, if you're looking for a premium-grade yet affordable mini-PC that can do more than just the bare essentials for work and play, then Beelink SER9 Pro+ won't steer you astray.
FAQ
Is the Beelink SER9 Pro+ good for gaming?
The Beelink SER9 Pro+ is a decent choice for gaming. It can run mid-end indie and 2D games at 1080p and 60fps, and even some AAA titles like Cyberpunk 2077 and DOOM: The Dark Ages with similar framerates and resolutions on medium graphical settings (as my colleague, Zac Bowden, found out during his review of Beelink SER9 Pro).
However, it will struggle running more demanding AAA games on Ultra-high graphical settings.
Is the RAM and storage upgradable?
The Beelink SER9 Pro+'s RAM isn't upgradeable as it's soldered into the motherboard and thus cannot be replaced. It does, however, have two M2. 2280 PCIe 4.0 SSD slots, which you can use to expand its internal space up to a max limit of 8TB.
