Xbox's Free Play Days lineup for this weekend has been revealed, and there are some pretty good games to check out if you have an active Xbox Game Pass subscription and even some if you don’t. Free Play Days runs from May 28 through May 31, 2026.

For those unfamiliar with how Free Play Days works, simply head to the Subscriptions tab in the Xbox Store, where you'll find the available games included in the promotion. With that out of the way, let's take a look at what's playable this weekend.

First up, I'll start with Formula Legends, maybe a game worth checking out if you can't muster up the funds for Forza Horizon 6. I'm joking, of course. Formula Legends looks like a fun arcade racer, and I'm sure you could have a good time with it if you give it a chance.

If that's not your style, however, there's also the popular first-person zombie survival game Dying Light: Definitive Edition. It's a bit of an older title these days, but it's still widely regarded as one of the best zombie games around thanks to its parkour and tense gameplay.

For everyone else, there are also a couple of games available through Free Play Days for all. That means you don't need an Xbox Game Pass subscription to jump in.

The biggest name here is undoubtedly Gears of War: Reloaded, the not-so-long-ago released remaster of the original Gears of War. If you've been curious about the updated visuals or just want to revisit Marcus Fenix's first adventure, Gears of War: Reloaded is a great way to do so.

Finally, there's High on Life 2, which is available as a five-hour timed trial for all Xbox players. If you enjoyed the first game's weird humor with talking weapons, and it's probably worth setting aside a few hours this weekend to see what the sequels like.
