Dr. Trinity Bharath - NASA
2026-05-18 · via NASA Science

Dr. Trinity Bharath is the Director of Budget within NASA’s Office of the Chief Financial Officer. In this role, she leads Agency-level strategic planning, performance management, budget formulation, and investment portfolio analysis to support internal decision-making and inform external stakeholders.

Bharath has more than 15 years of experience across the Department of Defense, Department of Energy, and NASA, where she has held progressively senior roles in operations research, program evaluation, and federal budget formulation. She began her career supporting national security missions through advanced analytical work, later leading multidisciplinary teams responsible for evaluating multibillion-dollar programs, assessing risk, and informing enterprise resource decisions.

Since joining NASA, Bharath has played a central role in strengthening the Agency’s Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) process. She has led agency-wide cost, schedule, and performance analysis, delivered multiple President’s Budget Requests, and advanced data-driven decision-making through strategic investment analysis and cross-agency collaboration. Her work has helped translate national priorities into actionable resource strategies aligned with long-term mission outcomes. Throughout her career, Bharath has built strong partnerships across government, including with the Office of Management and Budget, Congress, and interagency stakeholders, advancing transparency, accountability, and effective stewardship of public resources.
