The Contributor Experience Working Group (CEWG) is a TC working group with a mandate to improve the contributor experience across the OpenStack community. It is delegated authority over contributor recognition, community health, and contributor onboarding.

Scope

Contributor Recognition

Making non-code contributions visible and ensuring that contributors beyond code authors are recognized within the project's governance.

Community Health

Understanding the state of OpenStack's contributor base: who contributes, in what roles, how retention and responsiveness are trending, and where capacity is concentrated or at risk.

Contributor Onboarding

Owning the strategy for how new contributors find their way into the project. The CEWG absorbs the mission of the former First Contact SIG.
