Lufthansa Group suspends Israel flights until June
Stav Livne · 2026-04-30 · via Front - Globes

The Group, which includes Lufthansa, Swiss, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines and EuroWings leaves open the possibility of a partial return in early June, if security developments allow.

Lufthansa Group, which includes Lufthansa, Swiss, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines and EuroWings has extended its cancelation of flights to and from Israel until July 1 but leaves open the possibility of a partial return at the beginning of June, depending on security developments in the region.

Lufthansa Group announced that the airlines in the Group would continue at this stage to cancel flights to and from Israel until June 30. However, Lufthansa Group stressed that some flights would already be resumed at the beginning of June, if conditions will allow it.

Lufthansa Group has kept this option in the hope that EU Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) will lift its advisory against flights to the region. The advisory is valid until tomorrow and discussions are currently taking place on whether to lift or extend it.
