A California man faces several counts of attempted murder after he allegedly carjacked a vehicle at knifepoint and ran over ten people.
Juan Luis Estrada, 45, of Perris, stole a white Toyota Camry from its owner on June 16 and began a two-hour rampage through the streets of Culver City and Los Angeles, according to police.
Estrada allegedly intentionally struck at least ten pedestrians, aged between 15 and 70, and led police on a wild chase.
Surveillance footage showed Estrada allegedly speeding away from a gas station and swerving to hit a running pedestrian.
The impact launched the man into the air before he crashed onto the pavement, with the vehicle's back tire running over his legs.
Estrada also allegedly hit a pedestrian standing on the sidewalk near another gas station, before taking out a cyclist at the same location.
Police dashcam footage later showed Estrada allegedly racing down a road where he swerved to hit another pedestrian crossing the street.
The pursuit ended when he crashed into a car outside a McDonald's restaurant.

'He seemed to be intentionally attempting to hit pedestrians throughout our city at a time where we have high pedestrian and vehicle traffic,' police spokeswoman Jennifer Atenza said.
Police began their pursuit after a victim reported the license plate number to authorities, which was later flagged by an automatic reader.
After crashing at the McDonald's drive-thru, Estrada then tried to flee on foot.
He was then arrested by cops, bringing an end to the chase.
Officers had to hog-tie him to get him into custody, video obtained by CBS News showed.
A police officer was injured at the end of the pursuit while trying to arrest Estrada.
He was taken into custody and placed under a $10.25 million bond.

He was charged with ten counts of attempted murder, one count each of carjacking, felony evading a police officer causing serious bodily injury, battery on a peace officer, and three counts of felony hit-and-run, police said.
None of the victims suffered life-threatening injuries despite being hit by the car.
A hearing is set to take place in July to determine if Estrada is mentally capable to stand trial.
