A large van caught fire in Bondi, forcing pedestrians to avoid the street.
Community pages filled with alerts about the fire on O'Brien St, in east Sydney, on Tuesday afternoon.
It's understood four firefighters rushed to the scene.
Photos showed the flames completely overtook the van, which was parked by large trees.
Dozens of pedestrians gathered to watch firefighters attempt to extinguish the fire, only for it to explode out the side of the van's windows.
Officers at the scene urged the crowd to stand back while the fire crew worked.
The blaze has since been extinguished.
