Beloved influencer Kiersten Dyke dies aged 25 as boyfrien...
2026-05-02 · via News | Mail Online

Popular influencer Kiersten Dyke has died aged 25.

The TikTok creator, from Houston, Texas, had been documenting her skin cancer journey for her thousands of followers on social media.

Her death was announced on the GoFundMe page originally launched to help cover medical fees and other costs related to her melanoma.

It read: 'With heavy hearts, we share the news that Kiersten passed away Sunday morning surrounded by her loved ones. Kiersten was a strong and empowered woman and an inspiration to so many people.

'She was thoughtful and kind with a gentle soul who loved life. Forever in our hearts. We will share details about a celebration of life at a later time.

'We continue to ask for thoughts and prayers as we navigate thru this difficult time.'

Her boyfriend of nearly nine years, Dominic Cinfio, also took to social media to share a heartbreaking tribute.

He wrote: 'There are no words to truly describe how special of a human Kiersten was. She was such a joy and brought light into every room she walked into. She cherished every person who knew her and cared so deeply for others. She inspired me everyday and made me a better person and for that I am eternally grateful.

'I am so fortunate to have shared 8 1/2 years together as her boyfriend. She loved so hard not just me but every person in her life whether you met her once or knew her your entire life. That's what made her so special.

'Even through the countless treatments, she was always trying reach out and be there for others. She was a fighter and even when things were hardest didn't waver in being there for the people she loved.

'It comforts me knowing she is no longer in pain and is finally at rest. I will miss her so much and will always carry her with me. I hope I can live even remotely closely to how she did and share her love and strength with others.

'I love you so much boo boo,' he concluded.

Dyke was initially diagnosed with stage 2 melanoma in December 2022 after having a 'suspicious mole' biopsied, and was told it was a malignant melanoma.

In early January 2023, she had the mole surgically removed, with Dyke saying that her doctor didn't perform a lymph node dissection, which she noted 'ended up being a huge mistake.'

In late January, the cancer was confirmed to be stage 2B, and Dyke underwent surgery to remove a couple of lymph nodes from her left armpit.

In a video posted in 2025 summarizing her health journey,  Dyke said she spent 2023 'in and out' of the hospital, due to her cancer and other health conditions.

In January 2024, she celebrated one year cancer-free, spending her time traveling and with loved ones.

However, she underwent a routine PET scan in October 2024, where they found a 5mm non-specific nodule, which initially the nurses thought was nothing.

However, she was later diagnosed with stage 3 metastatic melanoma at the end of 2024. After a second opinion, she started immunotherapy in February 2025. In March, she underwent five rounds of radiation in two weeks.

Sadly, she passed away in April 2026.

Dyke, who boasted over 10,000 followers on TikTok, had drafted a video just two days before her hospital admission, which was later posted by her boyfriend.

The video showed her on a trip to Austin, Texas.

'Kiersten was able to finish this draft on April 18th a few days before she was admitted into the hospital. She had the absolute best time visiting Austin and getting to see so many people she loved,' he captioned the post.

'If you haven’t had the chance feel free to join the Facebook group in her bio to share or read memories and stories about Kiersten no matter big or small,' he continued.

'Thank you to everyone who has followed her story and enjoyed being a part of her TikTok community. I’m so thankful for the friends and community she found on social media and show what a positive impact it can have. Thank you for following along and loving and supporting Kiersten from near and far. -Dominic.'

Fans and loved ones have flooded social media with tributes for the popular influencer.

'Even in your darkest days, you were the brightest star shining. You’ve changed the world in so many ways. Prayers and blessings to your family and now you get to be at peace and rest beautiful Kiersten,' one user wrote.

Someone else penned: 'I miss you so much it’s so unfair, and sad that you had too go. I am so happy we got too go and visit you in november, and i’m so happy for the memories we had together. I love you, Kirsten, and I miss you more than anything.'

'I did BMX with Kiersten growing up,' wrote another. 'She has one of the kindest souls that’s ever had the pleasure of walking this earth. Such a bright and energetic energy, she will be so missed. I am so sorry for your loss.'
