A small town in Rhode Island was shocked after videos circulating online showed someone parading through the streets at night in what appeared to be KKK robes.
Footage uploaded to Facebook showed a person in a Ku Klux Klan uniform wandering through the streets at 2am in West Warwick on Monday, a town that stretches less than 8 square miles.
Ryan Fitzgerald told WJAR he was with his brother, driving, when he was shocked to see a white supremacist roaming the streets.
'We were like, what the hell is that?' Fitzgerald said. 'And then we literally booked it out of there.'
Fitzgerald added that the person under the hood made direct eye contact with them.
'Honestly, me and Sean were just like, "holy crap like, I gotta get the hell out of here," he said.
Leslie Letourneau, owner of Candy’s Curiosities & Vintage in town, shared a different angle of the apparent racist walking by her shop.
'So I'm sure some have already seen the video circulating of the clan's man in front of my shop,' Letourneau wrote along with an upload of the person walking past her shop.

'Yes its real & I'm sure you all already know I do not support this in and way shape or form and I'm absolutely disgusted that you stopped by to pay me a visit. So here in what one of my cameras caught during this stunt that is in absolutely no way funny.'
The shop owner dared whoever was under the mask to 'Try it during the day. Dare ya. Lo$er [sic].'
Letourneau told WJAR that she contacted the authorities.

Several other outraged locals took to social media to condemn the racist attire in their little town.
One user wrote: 'This isn’t even funny. WTF is wrong with people these days? Just remember, if you play, you’re gonna pay!!! Is this really worth it? You don’t know who else is “strolling” in the night!!! Just saying.'
Another seemingly threatened: 'If the person is watching, I dare them to do this in the middle of the day.'
A third added: 'Aah, the things you see when you don't have a flamethrower.'
Several other comments suggested the clip may be staged. The Daily Mail has reached out to the West Warwick Police Department for comment.
