This is the moment a British man taunts fellow Ryanair passengers after a flight from Manchester to Tenerife was forced to divert to Portugal following chaos onboard.

Footage shows the man strutting down the aisle singing before dancing back through the cabin as some passengers laugh while others hurl abuse at him.

The man appears to shout: 'I'm dressing up, I'm dressing down,' as he walks through the cabin.

As he makes his way back to his seat, another passenger appears to stick out a leg and trip him up, prompting further shouting from those onboard.

Several passengers begin filming the man as one woman tells him to 'get off the plane'. 

Another man can be seen standing up at the back of the aircraft, appearing to encourage his antics.

The passenger then returns to his seat before another person can be heard shouting 'sit back down' as an object is thrown over the back of his chair.

A Ryanair spokesperson told the Daily Mail: 'This flight from Manchester to Tenerife South (10 June) diverted to Faro after two passengers became disruptive onboard.

'Crew called ahead for police assistance, who met the aircraft upon arrival at Faro Airport, and removed these disruptive passengers before this flight continued to Tenerife.

'Ryanair has a strict zero tolerance policy towards passenger misconduct and will continue to take decisive action to combat unruly passenger behaviour, ensuring that all passengers and crew travel in a respectful and stress-free environment, without unnecessary disruption'.

The clip, filmed on Wednesday, has racked up thousands of views online, with viewers quick to share their thoughts in the comments.

'Ban them for life, muppets,' one person wrote, while another added: 'Oh my goodness, what a joke.'

A third said: 'That's shocking, at least you all got there safe and sound. Enjoy making memories.'

The latest incident comes after a separate easyJet flight from London Gatwick to Tenerife South Airport on Thursday was met by police after crew reported a disturbance involving a group of 12 passengers.

According to air traffic controllers, the disruption unfolded onboard easyJet flight EZY8035 while it was en route to the Canary Islands.

Given the number of people involved and concerns for safety, controllers gave the aircraft priority landing clearance and coordinated with authorities on the ground, requesting police to meet the plane at the aircraft stand. 

The aircraft was given a shortened approach to Tenerife South Airport to reduce the time spent in the air and landed safely without further incident.

Authorities have not released details of the disturbance, the identities of those involved, or whether any arrests had been made.

The incidents are the latest examples of disruptive behaviour on flights abroad.

Last month, a Ryanair flight to Alicante was forced to divert after an aggressive man allegedly began harassing passengers before vomiting on the aircraft.

The flight, from Berlin to the Spanish city, had to make an emergency landing at the Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden Airport in Germany after the 43-year-old started wreaking havoc.

The unnamed man was said to have started behaving aggressively after takeoff and allegedly harassed other plane users 'in an unacceptable manner', according to police.

He also reportedly vomited on board the aircraft and was thought to be drunk.

The pilot then decided to make an emergency landing during the flight following the commotion.

The man was removed from the plane by officers on the tarmac after the carrier called for police assistance ahead of landing.

Staff then had to unload luggage from the vehicle in order to locate the man's suitcase, police added.

The aircraft remained on the tarmac at the Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden Airport while passengers waited inside.

The Ryanair flight was then able to continue its journey to Alicante.

The man will face consequences for violating the Air Security Act following the incident, according to reports.
