'No place like home': Ready Steady Cook host Peter Everet...

Former Ready Steady Cook host Peter Everett's court hearing on allegations he sexually touched a teenage boy has been delayed for nine months.

Everett, 66, is charged with sexually touching the boy without consent following an alleged late-afternoon incident at his NSW Central Coast home in July 2025.

The matter was due to be heard at Wyong Local Court on Monday but, due to the court's time constraints, will now be heard across two days in March next year.

Outside court, Everett remained upbeat about the delay.

'Oh well, we will move on to the next stage - what is it? Light, life and truth and trust will come out,' he said.

'That's all we can do - and patience, that's the big one.'

When asked if he was disappointed the matter would not be resolved until next year, he made light of the situation.

'Well Happy New Year to everybody, I will see you in 2027,' he added.

Everett also secured a variation to his bail conditions, meaning he is now permitted to return to his Central Coast home - the location of the alleged incident.

The variation also allows him to travel to Bali for dental work.

The former TV personality said he was 'thrilled' by the change after previously only being permitted to attend the property under police supervision to collect belongings.

'No place like home,' he said while touching his chest and closing his eyes.

Last year, the teenager who made the indecent assault allegation broke his silence in an exclusive interview with Daily Mail.

Details of the alleged incident have yet to be aired in court. However, court documents allege Everett sexually touched the boy without consent between 4.10pm and 4.30pm on Friday, July 25.

The 16-year-old, who has been diagnosed with autism, and his father - who, like his son, cannot be identified - told Daily Mail they live close to the former television star.

The teen said he had walked past Everett's home before and had 'last seen him...just before the school holidays'.

On the afternoon of July 25, the teenager said he had his hood up as he walked down the street near his home but 'did not want to be rude' to Everett.

The father said he knew Everett in passing through the local community and admitted he was initially a little star-struck that the former celebrity lived nearby.

Police arrested the former television host at his home the following day before he appeared in Parramatta Local Court, where he pleaded not guilty.

The Daily Mail is not suggesting the allegation against Everett is true, simply that it has been made and will be considered by a court.

Prior to Monday's hearing, Everett's bail conditions required him to report twice a week to Waverley Police Station in Sydney's eastern suburbs.

He was also prohibited from contacting his alleged victim or any witnesses.

He pleaded not guilty to the charge and denied any wrongdoing.

'My solicitor has advised me not to speak, but I am pleading not guilty,' he told Daily Mail at the time.

Everett is best known for hosting Channel 10's daytime cooking show Ready Steady Cook for five years from 2006.

He was sacked from the program by phone in 2011.

In 2022, Everett revealed he was selling his possessions just 'to survive' after a difficult period during the Covid-19 pandemic.
