Domino's delivery driver charged after wreaking violent r...

A Domino's delivery driver is behind bars after police say he carried out a violent act of revenge on a customer who didn't tip him, by using his car as a weapon in a confrontation that spiraled out of control.

Zachary Nicholus Walton, 36, was arrested in Fulton, Missouri, west of St. Louis, and is now facing a string of serious felony charges, including first-degree assault, armed criminal action and leaving the scene of an accident.

Jail records show he is being held without bond at the Callaway County Jail.

Authorities say what began as a routine delivery on the evening of April 29 quickly turned volatile.

According to a probable cause affidavit from the Fulton Police Department seen by KRCG, officers were dispatched at around 7:20pm to a home after reports that a driver had struck someone with a vehicle and fled.

When officers arrived, they were found the injured victim who explained how the dispute had erupted over him failing to leave a tip for a Domino's pizza order.

The victim told police that Walton became visibly angry after not receiving one, sparking a heated argument.

Investigators say that confrontation escalated rapidly, with surveillance footage capturing Walton shouting profanities and directing insults at both the victim and a witness.

Police say the incident happened around 7:20pm on Bluff Street in Fulton, Missouri during a Domino’s delivery that escalated into an argument over a tip

According to court documents, Walton could be heard calling them 'f***ing rude' and taunting them, saying, 'What are you going to do, b****? Come get me,' before heading back toward his vehicle.

The footage, reviewed by investigators, allegedly shows Walton getting into his car and backing it toward the roadway.

At that point, the victim was walking in the driveway and was not obstructing the vehicle's path.

Authorities say Walton then shifted into drive and accelerated forward, directly toward the victim.

Police say the impact sent the victim onto the hood of another vehicle in the driveway.

He suffered visible injuries to his hand and reported additional pain and scrapes to his leg.

After striking the victim, Walton allegedly sped away from the scene 'at a high rate of speed' without contacting authorities.

Officers later tracked him down at a local Domino's location, where he was taken into custody.

During questioning, Walton admitted to driving toward the victim but claimed he only intended to 'scare him,' according to court documents.

He also acknowledged leaving the scene after the incident.

Investigators say his actions, particularly the alleged use of a vehicle during a confrontation, demonstrate a significant danger to the public.

The case has also drawn attention to Walton’s prior criminal history. Records indicate he previously served jail time in Callaway County following convictions for domestic assault and false imprisonment.

Prosecutors have now formally charged him, and he remains jailed without bond as the case moves forward.

His next court appearance has not yet been scheduled.
