Billionaire John Paulson has officially finalized his long-running, messy divorce from ex-wife Jenny Zaharia, more than three years after proposing to his glamorous, much-younger fiancée.
The hedge fund titan, 70, and Zaharia, 55, finally settled their divorce Monday after more than four years of courtroom battles in what became one of the most acrimonious and costly splits in recent history, Page Six exclusively reported.
It also follows Paulson's high-profile 2023 engagement to 36-year-old dietician and lifestyle brand founder Alina de Almeida, with the couple later welcoming their first child together last July.
Paulson and Zaharia's bitter divorce fight - fueled by allegations of hidden cash, secret trusts, and a feud over a multimillion-dollar Palm Beach mansion - only began thawing earlier this year, a source revealed to Page Six.
While the terms of the settlement remain under seal, the source told the outlet: 'It's fair to everybody.'
In a statement made on Wednesday, Robert Cohen, attorney for Zaharia, and Marilyn Chinitz, attorney for Paulson, said: 'Jenny Paulson and John Paulson have come to the decision to amicably settle their divorce and trust-related litigations.'
'They consider this settlement a private matter and neither party nor any family nor friends of the parties will have any further comment,' they added.
The pair's tumultuous saga began exploding in 2021, when Paulson split from his ex after 21 years of marriage and two daughters together, Danielle, 22, and Giselle, 20.

Months after the filing, an unnamed source told Page Six that the couple had been 'living separate lives for the past 15 years,' despite sharing a 28,000-square-foot townhouse on East 86th Street in Manhattan's Upper East Side.
Paulson cited 'irreconcilable differences' as the cause of his split, according to documents filed in Suffolk County Court in 2021, the outlet first reported.
Just days after the announcement, he was spotted with then-33-year-old Almeida, who is also a business owner of Effective Lifestyle, a health coaching service.
The billionaire was accused of 'blindsiding' his ex-wife after moving on with the fitness influencer nearly half his age, while he, in turn, accused Zaharia of trying to 'strip' their daughters of their inheritance.
Lawyers for both sides soon launched into a scorched-earth legal fight over 'secret' family trusts allegedly containing more than $2 billion, which Paulson claimed were created to benefit their daughters.
In 2022, Paulson's lawyers claimed that Zaharia was acting out of 'greed,' warning that if the trusts were divided as she requested, the assets would face 'huge' tax burdens, ultimately leaving their children with a 'diluted' inheritance.
Without a prenup in place, the marriage carried the risk of turning any financial ruling into one of the biggest billion-dollar divorce battles to play out in public.
Their sprawling $200 million real estate portfolio became a major point of contention, particularly their $110 million Venetian-style mansion in Palm Beach.

In the same year, attorneys for Zaharia accused Paulson of orchestrating a luxury penthouse deal in Puerto Rico to 'improperly enrich himself' by $10 million at the expense of the trusts.
The former spouses were also locked in a battle over properties in the Hamptons and Aspen, Colorado, Page Six reported.
It seemed he had turned a page by 2023, when Paulson - said to be worth about $4.7 billion - proposed to his young girlfriend following a two-and-a-half-year relationship.
The engagement coincided with the couple co-hosting a mega-fundraiser at Paulson's Palm Beach estate, raising over $50 million for President Donald Trump's campaign.
Almeida's name appeared alongside Paulson's on the invitation, and she debuted a massive diamond ring at the event, which cost about $814,600 for a ticketed seat at Trump's table.
In 2024, Paulson offered his ex-wife hundreds of millions in cash, but she described the proposal as 'humiliating and demeaning,' according to Page Six. She referred to other offers as 'disrespectful and shameful.'
'In my heart and my spirit I feel I deserve a 50/50 split,' Zaharia wrote in an email, according to the outlet. 'Or, '60/40 is OK because there have been other similar divorce arrangements.'
In response, Paulson's side argued that his offer would make Jenny, 'one of the richest women in America,' while keeping major trusts in place for their daughters.

Still, neither side appeared willing to back down, with Zaharia's team maintaining that Paulson's intentions were never concrete and that he was attempting to rewrite the financial legacy of a marriage spanning more than two decades.
At one point, regarding Paulson, Cohen, Zaharia's attorney, said: 'The man is worth billions of dollars... and Mr Paulson offered Mrs Paulson only a "monthly allowance,"' according to Page Six.
'That's called chutzpah - or in English, hypocrisy!' he added.
In a fiery response, Paulson's attorney said: 'In what universe is hundreds of millions in upfront cash, plus annual eight-figure distributions for the rest of her life - all tax free - considered an 'allowance?'
Meanwhile, Paulson made his first public debut with Almeida and their five-month-old daughter Jacqueline in July 2025, with the trio seen cuddling on the beach in relaxed, upscale summer attire.
Paulson - who famously made $20 billion betting against the housing market before the 2008 crash - first met his ex-wife in the late 1990s when she delivered lunch to his office, later hiring the Romanian national as his assistant.
As he approached his mid-40s, he began casting about for a wife and set his sights on Zaharia, who did not smoke or drink and had a 'cheerful' personality, according to a book about the hedge fund trader called The Greatest Trade Ever, by Gregory Zuckerman.
In the book, Paulson said that she was 'a breath of fresh air' and that he spent a year courting his assistant. However, she refused to go out with him unless he fired her and found her another job.
Zaharia ultimately agreed to a lunch date with John, and after sharing 200 meals together, the investor proposed to her, according to the book.
