A teen mom has been arrested for leaving her six-month-old baby at home alone while she went to Maryland McDonald's with her friends, police alleged.
Kira Faust, 19, of Bel Air, was taken into custody on Monday by the Aberdeen Police Department after she allegedly ditched her baby for her friends.
Officers received a call about the infant being left alone in a residence on West Bel Air Avenue.
Not only was the baby alone, but authorities found that the child was living in 'unsafe and unsanitary living conditions,' a statement said.
After finding the mother, she allegedly told police she had left the child at home to go see her friends at McDonald's.
The baby, who was not identified, was taken in by the Aberdeen Police Department, who were given baby supplies by UM Upper Chesapeake Medical Center to care for her while Child Protective Service 'worked to secure a safe placement.'
Faust was charged with neglect. She was later released on her own recognizance.
The Daily Mail has reached out to Faust for comment.

Faust had previously worked as a childcare worker at Churchville Presbyterian Preschool and Daycare in Aberdeen, her LinkedIn said.
A spokesperson for the daycare confirmed the new mom worked for the school for almost two years, excluding her maternity leave.
She was officially let go on May 11. The daycare did not list a reason for her departure.
Bel Air is located roughly 30 miles outside of Baltimore and is home to about 10,000 residents.
In November, Georgia mother, Nyla Simmons, was arrested for leaving her infant son in a hot vehicle while she worked.
The 22-year-old's son, who was seven months old, died. The mother found the child unresponsive in the car after several hours.
She was charged with second-degree cruelty to children and murder.
