Ukraine wedding photoshoot is interrupted when Russian ka...

A wedding photoshoot was dramatically interrupted by a Russian kamikaze drone being blasted out of the sky.

The Russian Shahed kamikaze drone overhead was blown to pieces above the married couple.

A blinding flash illuminated the night sky before a thunderous explosion echoed out, sending burning wreckage raining down as the couple posed for snaps.

Footage showed the bride reacting with horror to the blast, gasping, 'Oh, it's going to fall somewhere now!' before a final explosion prompted a frantic, 'Oh, Mum!'

Air defences successfully engaged the incoming Shahed, a type of Iranian-designed kamikaze drone frequently used in strikes across Ukraine.

The newlyweds were posing for photographer Eduard Kovsh when the dramatic mid-air interception took place in the frontline city of Zaporizhzhia, Ukraine, on Sunday evening, June 7.

Kovsh shared the footage on Instagram with the caption: 'Here are the kinds of weddings we have in Zaporizhzhia.'

The clip quickly went viral, drawing thousands of views and comments praising Ukrainian resilience in continuing to celebrate life amid war.

Social media users noted that, even after more than four years of full-scale invasion, Ukrainians persist in building families and finding moments of happiness.

Zaporizhzhia has been facing near-daily bombardments.

On the same day, a Russian drone struck an Ukrzaliznytsia train formation in the city, damaging a locomotive, while another assault on the suburb of Balabino killed civilians in a residential area.

The authorities reminded the public not to approach the wreckage of downed drones or unexploded ordnance, which can remain lethal.

Zaporizhzhia lies on the Dnieper River, roughly 200km from the front lines, and remains a regular target due to its industrial importance and proximity to occupied territories.

Earlier today, it was reported that a Ukrainian drone attack killed one person and injured three in Russia's southern Krasnodar region, local officials said, as part of Kyiv's campaign of strikes on military and energy targets deep inside Russia.

Russian news outlets are reporting that a Black Sea export terminal transporting crude oil, petroleum products and liquefied gas in the village of Volna was damaged.

Ukraine's General Staff did not comment on the Krasnodar strike, but said that its forces had hit an oil preparation and pumping station overnight in Russia's Volgograd region, as well as Russian-occupied areas in Ukraine's Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia regions.

The attack comes after Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky said his country's forces had struck several military and energy infrastructure sites deep inside Russia, including a military factory that he said supplied components for Russian drones and missiles.

He said Ukrainian FP-5 Flamingo long-range missiles had hit the facility in Cheboksary, in the Chuvashiya region, more than 560 miles from the front line.
