Mary Berry's daughter puts hideaway £3.5million Oxfordshi...
2026-05-18 · via News | Mail Online

Dame Mary Berry's daughter has put her £3.5million hideaway Oxfordshire mansion on the market.

Belles Berry, who designed the property with her husband in 2020, has listed Blenheim Farm for sale - a venue she frequently hosted her TV legend mum, including for her 80th birthday.

The home - which was constructed on the site of an old bungalow - is situated in the South Oxfordshire countryside and overlooks 10 acres of land.

Previously an alpaca farm, Belles' family resided in the old bungalow when they first moved to the property in 2014 before relocating into the on-site barn for the rebuild.

Pictures of the home, which is situated near the village of Ewelme close to Wallingford, features a library, two kitchens and living-room which looks out onto the countryside views.

The primary kitchen is arranged around a central island, and includes a 2m long champagne chiller and a grey five-door aga - a gift from Dame Mary.

Its antique wooden pews, which have been painted, and a dresser were sourced for the house from a French monastery.

In the second kitchen, a range of supplementary appliances can be found.

Having two kitchens, Belles said, works brilliantly as she can entertain in one, and use the second to house equipment.

The property's library has a window to the kitchen, while its floor-to-ceiling bookshelves host part of Belles' father's literary legacy.

In his antiquarian shop Paul Hunnings had over 5,000 books - which some now call home in the library built to accommodate them.

The home also features Belles' so-called 'sanctuary' - a separate study which houses her collection of gardening and cookery books.

And Belles' personally selected the interiors of Blenheim Farm.

The media room features wallpaper designed by Andrew Martin and an original 1970s tan leather sofa, while the glass-topped drawered furniture is from her father's book shop.

Belles described the property as a 'happy house' and added that it has 'the wow factor'.

She said: 'Blenheim Farm has been the perfect home for the family.'

Dame Mary Berry lives close to the property in the nearby town of Henley

And it appears family has been central to the home, with Belles' mother and father living close by in nearby Henley since 2019.

Belles said she hosted Dame Mary's 80th birthday at the site on a 'perfect summer's day'.

She said: 'The rose garden is full of mum's favourite roses, Chandos Beauty. There's a wonderful fruit garden at the back of the barn, and mum helps me pick and prune.

'We pick blackcurrants and gooseberries in autumn, and mum takes her trug home and returns with warm blackcurrant jam by noon.

'Mum used to go 'primrosing' to collect primroses where she grew up in Bath when she was a little girl, and now I go primrosing in the woods here in spring and deliver them to her.

'Mum and Dad moved six miles from us in Henley just before lockdown, which is wonderful.

'They usually head over to us on a Sunday for a roast. Mum always brings the pudding!'

The grounds of Blenheim Farm also feature a 60-year-old beech woodland, which Belles has planted with snowdrop flowers from Hedsor House, a Georgian country home in Buckinghamshire.

Blenheim Farm has been 'thoughtfully designed to maximise its scenic setting and bring the outside in'

The games room is one of the property's many features equipping it for family life

Belles added a swimming pool at Blenheim, which she called a 'winner in lockdown'

On site, there is a large barn, and the family have added a swimming pool and tennis court that Belles labelled a 'winner in lockdown'.

Victoria Knight, head of office at Savills in Henley-on-Thames, said the home is 'perfectly suited to family life and entertaining'.

She said: 'Blenheim Farm has been thoughtfully designed to maximise its scenic setting and bring the outside in.

'Floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors frame the rolling countryside beyond, from the light-filled kitchen and living area to the principal bedroom, complete with a copper rolltop bath.

'The interiors are colourful and playful, with a vibrant Moroccan tiled fountain and bathrooms, contrasting with a polished concrete floor.

'With two kitchens, a swimming pool, tennis court and games room, this is a home perfectly suited to family life and entertaining on a grand scale.

'Tucked away down a quiet tree-lined country lane yet only 15 minutes from Henley, the location is hard to beat.'
