Shocking video of THAT Britney Spears night out after reh...
2026-05-15 · via News | Mail Online

Britney Spears' rollercoaster of chaos reached another low Wednesday night, as she was caught on camera stocking up at a liquor store before a riotous outing at a dive bar - and all just days after leaving rehab.

CCTV footage obtained by the Daily Mail shows the Toxic singer, 44, striding into Wines of the World in Sherman Oaks, Los Angeles, with two companions in tow.

Dressed in a plunging top, a black mini skirt and boots, Spears trailed one companion - apparently a male security guard - down the liquor aisle before pausing in front of a cooler and spinning round playfully as he opened it and grabbed a large can of alcoholic Twisted Tea.

At the counter, the pop star launched into another little dance while her companions stacked items on the register, with Spears adding a pack of cinnamon-flavored Trident gum to the haul.

Exactly who the drink was bought for remains a mystery, but Spears reached into her purse to pay in cash before her male companion chipped in with a card. He then put the can into a brown paper bag.

The trio - also said to include a female assistant to Spears - then exited and hopped into a black SUV.

Exterior CCTV footage from the liquor store shows the male companion (in the driver's seat) placing the can in the vehicle's center console, before Spears (in the front passenger seat) appears to lift it into her lap, ready for the next stage of her hectic night.

Britney Spears ' rollercoaster of chaos hit another low  on Wednesday night, as she was caught on camera stocking up at a liquor store before a riotous outing at a dive bar

That stage included the group moseying just across the street to a dive bar called the Blue Dog Tavern, where witnesses told TMZ Spears caused a scene by 'barking' and 'carrying a knife' around the establishment.

Notably, she ordered a burger at the tavern, which bar workers confirmed comes served with a steak knife. The down-market joint's priciest bottle of wine is $38.

Spears has a history of knife-related drama: in 2023, police reportedly visited her home after she shared a video on social media in which she brandished knives, though no charges were ever filed.

Witnesses at the Blue Dog said Spears was seen 'feeding' her male companion and appeared affectionate, telling him 'I love you,' though it was unclear whether the comment was serious or playful.

Restaurant staff reportedly had to intervene when Spears lit a cigarette near the entrance door.

Spears' representative told the Daily Mail: 'This is completely blown out of proportion. Britney was enjoying a quiet dinner with her assistant and bodyguard. She was simply telling the story about how her dog was barking at the neighbors.

'At no point did she put anyone in danger with a knife. She was cutting her hamburger in half.

'This [is a] constant attack on everything that she does and this is exactly what happened 20 years ago when the media tried to depict Britney as a bad person. This is ridiculous and it needs to stop now.'

The Blue Dog and liquor store drama comes hot on the heels of Spears pleading guilty in her DUI case last week.

The pop star copped to a reduced charge of reckless driving - aka a 'wet reckless' - after her March 4, 2026, run-in with the law.

As part of the plea deal, she avoided jail, but was slapped with 12 months' probation, a hefty fine, and a mandatory alcohol education program - making her liquor store spree all the more eyebrow-raising.

Under the plea deal, Spears is forbidden from driving with any intoxicant in her system, must submit to breath, blood, urine or saliva tests when asked by an officer, and cannot use or possess any drugs, marijuana, or related paraphernalia unless prescribed.

It certainly doesn’t help that earlier this month, Spears cut short a voluntary rehab stay after just three weeks, leaving many to wonder what the treatment was for, if this is how she has spent her first days of freedom.

Indeed, it appears some of her family are asking that very question.

One close family source tells the Daily Mail that many of the troubled star's relatives had no idea she had left rehab until reports surfaced online, painting a picture of her loved ones being cut out.

The trio then exited and hopped into a black SUV, with exterior footage showing the companion placing the can in the center console, from where Spears appeared to lift it into her lap

'She's surrounded by enablers and everyone thinks that's fine,' the close family source explained. 'But God forbid that her family who loves her tries to keep her from getting drunk, or spending all her money, or spiraling, then it's all "Free Britney."

'But this is what Free Britney is. A train wreck. And she's going to end up dead [but] they're still going to demonize anyone in her life who was like, "Hey, let's work on getting you taken care of."'

The source added that communication with Spears is limited.

'We only have contact with her when she wants it. She leaves us on read otherwise. She's not talking to any of her family now, except for the boys [her two sons]. Everyone else she's not. And the people around her clearly don't care one bit that she's in crisis.'

The toll on her loved ones is raw. 'Heartsick. That's what I am. Heartsick. Heartbroken,' the insider added.

'Worried as hell. Her family loves her and wants her to be better, but there isn't a thing we can do right now. It's awful.'

On Saturday, Spears missed a rare family gathering for her niece Maddie's graduation, with exclusive photos showing her son Sean Preston, 20, sister Jamie Lynn, mother Lynne, and amputee father Jamie all gathered without her.

The celebration follows the family's attempts to reach out and support Spears after her DUI arrest in March. Sources said her mom Lynne was among the first to call, reaching out as soon as she learned the news - by then, Spears had already been released from custody.

Witnesses at the Blue Dog Tavern say Spears later shared food with her male companion and appeared affectionate, telling him 'I love you'

Spears also reportedly spoke with sons Sean Preston and Jayden, 19, both of whom moved away to Hawaii with their father, her ex-husband Kevin Federline, in 2023. For many years, Federline had primary custody of the boys and raised them himself, while Spears was in her long-standing conservatorship.

The boys have only recently moved back to LA as adults.

But her behavior leading up to the March DUI arrest has done little to reassure her loved ones.

Earlier this year, Spears was videoed on two separate occasions swerving along a highway and tottering out of a bar clutching a champagne flute, while her Instagram feed has been packed with topless snaps and bizarre clips of at-home dance routines.

Reports have also surfaced claiming her LA mansion is regularly left covered in dog mess.

Last October, sources had feared Spears was 'spiraling' amid the release of Federline's tell-all memoir You Thought You Knew, in which he detailed the strained relationship his sons had developed with their mother, alleging she had 'emotionally traumatized' them.

The pop star has faced very public personal struggles for nearly two decades.

In 2007, Spears famously suffered a harrowing breakdown after exhibiting worrying behavior in the months leading up to her infamous psychiatric hold.

The then 25-year-old had fans concerned after she shaved her head and attacked a paparazzo's car with a green umbrella, before she checked into a rehab facility.

Her controversial conservatorship subsequently lasted for 13 years from 2008 to 2021.

Recently, Spears has pulled no punches about her fractured family, revealing in a bombshell social media post in early February that she feels 'scared' of them and 'lucky to be alive.'

The pop star's relationship with her relatives has been notoriously tense for years, especially following the end of her conservatorship.

In particular, Spears and her father Jamie have been at loggerheads ever since finally settling their bitter, years-long legal battle over the conservatorship that saw him control nearly every aspect of her life and finances for more than a decade.
