A Washington woman accused of driving her Ford Focus toward a young boy on a bike attempted to break into a nearby property immediately after, but 'faceplanted' from being too drunk, the homeowner has revealed.
US Army veteran Wendy Clemente, 56, is facing DUI and attempted assault charges for allegedly chasing the child down a Cheney street on April 28.
She also picked up criminal trespass charges for allegedly trying to rob a home soon after, police said.
The homeowner, Lloyd Gaines, 48, told the Daily Mail he and his wife were not at home when Clemente allegedly began hammering at their door. He said he was alerted to the alleged break-in by his Ring doorbell camera.
'She was smashing the front door, and she stumbled off because she looked so drunk,' Gaines recalled. 'She fell off my porch and faceplanted.'
Gaines said Clemente appeared heavily intoxicated during the incident and eventually managed to get inside his home and 'rustle through' his belongings.
He said Clemente 'tossed stuff around' and looked through his wife's jewelry but did not steal anything before she left and was arrested.
It came just moments after Clemente allegedly accelerated her vehicle toward the young cyclist in front of stunned witnesses.

Wendy Clemente, 56, a former US Army veteran, is facing DUI and attempted assault charges for allegedly speeding her car at the boy in Cheney, Washington on April 28
Homeowner Lloyd Gaines told the Daily Mail that Clemente 'faceplanted' outside his home after trying to break-in, and said she drunkenly 'tossed around' his belongings before being taken into custody as seen here on Gaines' Ring doorbell camera footage
Police were already searching for her when Gaines called 911 and said they raced to his home after he described her silver Ford Focus.
'She was stumbling around,' he said, adding when she moved to the front porch, she was 'bouncing off trees' and appeared to be out of control.
Gaines added that he usually has a Trump flag and several American flags outside his home, and said Clemente, who lives in the neighborhood, appeared to have observed his property before the alleged break-in.
'She asked me, "Where is your Trump flag?" and I told her it rained last night so I put the flags away,' he recalled.
He said she responded: '"So, you're worried God is going to p*ss on them too?"'
After being arrested, Clemente told police she was the 'sole breadwinner' for her family which 'stressed her', court records obtained by the Daily Mail show.
The filings state that she admitted to using alcohol to cope with the pressure and was receiving mental health treatment.
Clemente tried to explain away the alleged break-in to deputies with the Spokane County Sheriff's Office by claiming that she was just looking for another dog for her own to socialize with, the records state.
Clemente 56, claimed she was merely taking her dog for a ride and was 'looking for other dogs to socialize with' shortly after her arrest
Clemente is facing charges of first-degree attempted assault, DUI and criminal trespass
Clemente told them she saw 'dogs in the fenced yard' and tried to greet them, police records said.
She claimed she had no recollection of speeding at the boy on the bike moments before, and initially said she had not consumed any alcohol before admitting she had 'consumed more alcohol than she probably should have', the documents said.
Deputies said they could smell an 'odor of alcohol' on her breath, and she exhibited an 'obvious lack of coordination', spoke with an 'obvious slur', and showed 'loss of fine motor function', records showed.
As Clemente was taken into custody, authorities said she also tried to kick a deputy as she was being put in handcuffs.
The arrest came after stunned neighbors filmed a car allegedly driven by Clemente accelerate toward a young boy on a dirt bike, chasing him down the sidewalk.
Video allegedly showed Clemente initially pointing her car at the boy and honking her horn repeatedly on a quiet residential street while the boy on the dirt bike swerved out of her way.
A witness was heard saying: 'This woman is crazy,' as the Ford veered at the child on the sidewalk, and the boy appeared to say something to the driver before she reversed and positioned her car at him.
The silver hatchback then accelerated quickly down the sidewalk as the child raced away on his dirt bike, as a witness yelled: 'She's trying to run this. Oh my god. You're kidding, oh my god.'
Other shocked neighbors then filled the street and chased after the Ford with the boy able to ride away to safety.
She is facing charges of first-degree attempted assault, DUI and criminal trespass.
Clemente was arraigned on April 29, and was released on her own recognizance without needing to post bail.
The Daily Mail has attempted to contacted Clemente for comment.
She has not yet pleaded, and is next due in court on May 20.
