Trump savagely ridicules 'Dumocrats' for wasting $10M on ...
2026-05-23 · via News | Mail Online

President Donald Trump reveled in the news that the Democrats had paid millions for an 'autopsy' to examine why they lost to him in the 2024 presidential election.

Trump brought up the autopsy on Friday afternoon during a visit to Representative Mike Lawler's New York swing district.

Lawler is one of the most vulnerable Republicans in Congress, representing a district that Trump lost to Democratic nominee, Vice President Kamala Harris, in the last election.

At the top of his speech, Trump acknowledged the Republicans needed to win the area back, before relishing in the Democrats' losses.

'Did you see they did an autopsy on why they lost the election?' Trump asked the raucous crowd.

He had previously explained - again - why he decided to nickname the party the 'Dumocrats,' which he originally unveiled during his trip to China earlier this month.

'And they said you lost the election because of Trump primarily,' the President continued. 'But other than Trump, you lost the election because you had crappy candidates and you had bad policy.'

'And they didn't know how to speak properly. And they weren't smart people. And various other reasons,' he went on.

President Donald Trump (left) had a field day with the 'autopsy' report commissioned by the Democratic Party, which analyzed why former Vice President Kamala Harris (center right) lost to Trump after former President Joe Biden (right) dropped out of the 2024 race

President Donald Trump made the comments during a visit Friday afternoon to Rockland Community College, trying to shore up support for GOP Representative Mike Lawler, one of the most vulnerable House Republicans

Trump said he also couldn't believe how much the 2024 report cost.

'They spent $10 million for the autopsy,' he exclaimed. 'And they had typos, Jaxson, they had typos in every other sentence.'

New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart had introduced the President at the event.

'They had misspelled words. They had commas in the wrong location. They gave $10 million for the autopsy,' Trump continued. 'I could have given them the autopsy without any charge at all.'

The report didn't get into the aging President Joe Biden's decision to seek reelection at age 81, despite public polling showing widespread concerns about the Democrat's age.

But it did say Biden's White House didn't 'position or prepare' the Vice President to allow her to lead a winning campaign.

During her time in the White House, Biden handed her a toxic portfolio that included dealing with the root causes of immigration, which allowed her to be nicknamed the 'border czar,' and expanding voting rights, a dead issue in the US Senate.

Harris also wasn't prepared in how to handle Trump's anti-transgender attacks, which he resumed at Friday's rally, going into his long-winded story about a boxer who changed dinner, admitting that First Lady Melania Trump hates when he tells it at events.

The ad, 'Kamala is for they/them, President Trump is for you,' was very effective, the autopsy said.

It also said Harris didn't go hard enough against Trump and she should have been more negative.

When Harris took over from Biden in July 2024, she and her running mate, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, tried to make the theme of their campaign 'joy,' deploying celebrity surrogates and creating a party-like vibe at their rallies.

'The Trump campaign and supportive Super PACs went full throttle against Vice President Harris, but there was not sufficient or similar negative firepower directed at Trump by Democrats,' the report said.

The report also said that Harris didn't do enough to shore up the voters she needed, including men and those who live in rural areas.

Trump tried to attract midterm voters Friday with a number of his greatest hits - while also shouting out to protesters and doing his trademark YMCA dance, complete with a golf swing move.

He again called the Village People ballad the 'gay national anthem.'

'That's why I did so well with the gay vote because of that song. I did great with the gay vote - better than any Republican's done by far,' he boasted.

Trump yelled, 'go home to mom,' during a brief heckling.

'You know what he doesn't say is his mom's watching the television right now and she's loving it,' the President said.

Overall, he spoke to the crowd for a whopping hour and 30 minutes.
