An Alabama mom has lost both her boy in a horrific car crash that left their friend injured after they sped out of a local gravel pit.
Braxton, 20, and Braden Canterberry, 17, and their friend, 18, who was not identified, were seen by police speeding out of a local gravel pit on County Road 36 around 2am on Wednesday.
Police had been called to the area for teens drinking in the pit, ABC 33/40 reported.
Cops later found their SUV crashed and all three occupants had been ejected from the vehicle. It was a single-vehicle crash.
The Canterberry boys were found deceased, while their friend was life-flighted to a Birmingham hospital in critical condition, AL.com reported.
Authorities said the crash was not the result of a police pursuit. Although police turned on their lights, they did not chase the car.
The deaths of the Canterberry boys left their mother, Brandy Mitchell-Canterberry, devastated, as the mother-of-three mourned her youngest children.
'These two boys were my world,' she told AL.com. 'They were my reason for everything.

'I feel like I’m watching someone else’s life play out. Nothing seems real and I don’t know how it ever will again.'
The boys were well entrenched in their local community, their mother said, writing on Facebook that they were 'raised with the same group of kids since birth.'
'Every family, every parent in this community feels this loss like it’s their own,' she said.
The town of Brilliant has a population of 845, and is located near the Alabama-Mississippi border.
Police are still investigating the crash and no new details are available.
Mitchell-Canterberry remembers her boys as smart, funny, and kind, she told AL.com.
