Senator's jaw-dropping response when asked if the Bondi t...

A One Nation Senator has said he 'won't rule out' the possibility that the Bondi Beach terror attack was a false-flag operation but admitted he does not have the facts to support such a claim.

Queensland politician Malcolm Roberts was asked the controversial question by social media comedian Lisa Jane Spencer in a video published on Friday.

'If I make a statement, it's got to be backed by fact, and I don't have the facts yet,' Roberts said.

'I'm not ruling it out. I doubt whether there was a false flag, but it was a bit afterwards when the laws came out.'

Fifteen people - including a 10-year-old girl - were killed and 40 others wounded when Naveed and Sajid Akram allegedly opened fire on families gathering for Chanukah by the Sea, a public Jewish celebration on December 14, 2025.

Roberts suggested that governments have historically used crises to justify new legislation.

'There are so many things in the last 30 years, but especially with Covid, that they seem to arrange something and then the laws would come,' he said.

'I can acknowledge that point.'

Malcolm Roberts (pictured) said he could not 'rule out' that the Bondi attack was a 'false flag'

The senator then turned to Israel's war with Hamas, saying it was important to distinguish between different groups.

'There are four major parties in the Israel-Palestine conflict,' he said.

'There's the Israeli people, who are generally wonderful. There are the Palestinians, who I've got no evidence to say are not genuinely wonderful, but I don't know them as well.

'The Israeli government, a lot of Israelis detest their government, so you've got to ask questions about it.'

He then described the fourth 'party', Hamas, as 'bloodthirsty terrorists'.

'You could argue, and people have argued that some of the actions of the Israeli government are extremely violent and unnecessary,' he said.

'And the Israelis are arguing that point with their government.

'What I'm saying really is, there's a lot of good meat in your question but I don't know the facts.'

15 people were killed when Naveed Akram (pictured) and his father Sajid allegedly opened fire on a crowd celebrating Hanukkah at Bondi Beach on December 14, 2025

Roberts then went on to claim that Australia's Covid-19 response during the pandemic resulted in mass fatalities.

He concluded by rejecting what he described as 'special groups' and 'special laws.'

'We don't want these special groups, we don't want people to get these special laws,' Spencer said to Roberts

'We want Australia to be Australia first.'

Roberts added: 'The words 'special groups', that's division and disorder and anarchy, and that is a deliberate strategy.

'These strategies are coming here from the United Nations, full stop.'

A Royal Commission is currently examining the Bondi Beach terror attack, with an interim report delivered on Thursday.

The government is expected to adopt all 14 recommendations outlined in the report.

The Daily Mail has contacted Roberts for comment.
