Police have launched a homicide investigation after a child was found dead at a property west of Brisbane on Monday night.
Emergency services were called to a home in Lowood at about 11.10pm, police said.
A child was found unresponsive at the property and was later declared dead.
Police say a 31-year-old woman is assisting with inquiries and confirmed she and the child were known to one another, but would not provide further details about their relationship.
