Jeremy Clarkson has been transformed into a twitcher thanks to his new Clarkson's Farm co-star - who has a history of eye-opening naked stunts. 

Avian expert Hannah Bourne-Taylor, 39, appeared on the latest series of Clarkson's TV show, impressing the former Top Gear host with her exhaustive knowledge of the animals.

Ms Bourne-Taylor, who has written several books on ornithology, was able to identify which birds are nesting on Diddly Squat Farm by listening to their distinctive calls alone.  

And it appears her encyclopedic knowledge of birds has rubbed off on Clarkson, 66, as he plans to turn large areas of his Cotswolds' farm into dedicated bird habitats. 

Planning documents show Clarkson, who recently publicly revealed he had been diagnosed with prostate cancer, will plant grasslands and wildflowers on the site - alongside 25 trees - to provide 'nesting opportunities' for birds and to 'support a range of invertebrate species'.

Clarkson has also pledged to plant hundreds of yards of hedgerow - which act as crucial habitats and nesting sites for many British bird species. 

This will 'provide habitat and shelter for wildlife,' offer food sources including seeds and berries, and function as a 'wildlife corridor' for birds.

Ms Bourne-Taylor, who lives close to Diddly Squat Farm in the Oxfordshire countryside, is married to former Olympic rower and ex-Army Captain, Robin. 

The conservationist, who will return for series six of Clarkson's Farm, has a history of commanding attention in the name of bird conservation. 

In 2022, she walked naked through London - with her body painted with feathers - to raise awareness of the decline of the swift population. 

'Hannah opened Jeremy's eyes to a whole new world,' a source told The Sun. 

'Before meeting her he had no idea such a range of birds were on Diddly Squat.

'Now he's hoping to attract even more - which is music to Hannah's ears.'

Ms Bourne-Taylor's appearance on the hit TV-show came as Clarkson shared the news in the final two episodes of its fifth series that he had been diagnosed with an 'aggressive' cancer. 

In the series five finale, Clarkson revealed he had undergone treatment for a malignant tumour in his prostate last August. 

The final episode concluded with the presenter telling viewers: 'If this is all successful I'll see you for season six and if it isn't I won't. Take care everyone.'

Clarkson revealed on the series, filmed between 2024 and 2025, that he was diagnosed in May last year, and told farm pal Kaleb Cooper that 10 per cent of his prostate 'where the cancer is' is 'dead'.

He began treatment and underwent an operation in August, before being rushed back to hospital in scenes which brought the series to a close.

Last week, however, Clarkson said in an interview that his cancer was now in remission, after a follow-up PSA test two months ago revealed no indication of the disease.

Speaking to The Times, he said: 'I am without a doubt, officially, the world's luckiest man. It was an aggressive type of cancer. It could have spread, it could have gone into the pancreas, it could have gone anywhere, and that would have been trouble.

'This is why I have to say to everybody who's reading this, please, please, please go and get checked. It's not uncomfortable, it's not undignified. And it's a no-brainer.

'I did, and that's why I'm sitting here talking to you 11 months down the line. I've seen so many people die of cancer. It doesn't bear thinking about what it must be like to live knowing that an illness is going to kill you.'

Clarkson's daughter Emily also posted a sweet photograph of the pair together on Instagram following news of his remission. 

Sharing the affectionate post for her dad hours before Father's Day in the UK, Emily wrote in the caption: '@prostatecanceruk @jeremyclarkson [blue heart emoji]'.

Emily cuddled up to her father in the black and white image as they both clutched drinks at a formal occasion they had attended together.

She also posted a quote from Jeremy urging others to get checked, which read: 'This is why I have to say to everybody who's reading this, please, please, go and get checked. 

'It's not uncomfortable, it's not undignified. And it's a no-brainer. I did, and that's why I'm sitting here talking to you'.

Clarkson has also taken to social media to urge his followers to 'get tested' for prostate cancer. 

On Instagram, he said: 'Hello there! Now the more observant among you will notice that I'm not dead.

'And I'm not just not dead, I'm perfectly fine. And the reason that I am fine is because the doctors caught the prostate cancer early and they caught it early because I got tested.

'And I know a lot of you will think you don't want to get tested but it's just a blood test these days. 

'And if you go to your doctor and they say you don't have any symptoms and you're not in a high risk category then just lie. Say that you have to get up 32 times in the night for a wee.

'Because thousands of men die every year in the UK from prostate cancer. Don't be one of them. Get tested.'
