A Manchester airport engineer has been left seriously injured after falling out of a Jet2 plane which was due to fly to Tenerife.
The man, believed to be an aircraft engineer, is said to have fallen from the back of the jet, with pictures from the scene showing the rear door of the plane standing open.
Paramedics from North West Ambulance Service rushed to the scene at 8am this morning.
The contractor engineer was treated for his injuries, which included a fractured leg and arm, before being transported to hospital.

The plane had been due to fly to Tenerife before the incident occurred.
Pictures from the airport today show multiple paramedic vehicles were deployed.
A set of stairs could be seen nearby, several metres away from the open rear door.
A Jet2 spokesperson said: 'We are aware of an incident that took place at Manchester Airport this morning (Saturday 11th April) involving an individual from a third-party provider.
'We are unable to confirm further details at present, however, can confirm that a full investigation has been launched.
'We are doing our best to provide support to everyone who needs it.'
