'My precious daughter has gained her wings': Mother of in...
2026-04-28 · via News | Mail Online

The mother of an influencer who was allegedly mowed down by an X Factor finalist after a 4am fight has spoken of her 'unimaginable loss'.

Klaudia Zakrzewska, 32, from Essex, was struck by a car outside the Inca London nightclub in Soho in the early hours of Sunday morning, April 19.

The Polish social media personality spent almost a week in hospital undergoing treatment, but tragically passed away on Saturday.

Former X Factor finalist Gabrielle Precious Carrington, 29, has been charged with murder.

Ms Zakrzewska's grieving mother, Kinga, has released a statement in the aftermath of her daughter's death - saying she 'gained her wings' and is 'now at peace among the angels'.

Kinga said: 'She brought so much love, joy, and light into our lives, and that light will never fade.

'As we navigate this unimaginable loss, I am committed to giving my beautiful angel the farewell she deserves, a service filled with love, dignity, and the grace that reflects who she was.

'Please continue to keep our family in your thoughts and prayers during this incredibly difficult time.

Ms Zakrzewska's death also sparked an outpouring of grief on social media, and her heartbroken family paid tribute

Gabrielle Precious Carrington, 29, was arrested and charged after the incident outside a Soho nightclub

'Thank you again for standing beside us, for lifting us up, and for helping honor my daughter’s life. Her love lives on in all of us.'

Kinga explained any money raised would go towards her daughter's funeral arrangements - ensuring she is 'laid to rest in the most meaningful and special way possible'.

She added part of the donations would help fund legal fees, to secure 'the best representation to fight for her and her memory'.

Poland-born model Ms Zakrzewska, who has more than 250,000 followers on Instagram, had posted videos from the nightclub on Sunday, April 19.

Carrington, also known as RIELLEUK, had followed up her X Factor stint with a career as an influencer, with some 362,000 followers on Instagram.

She was arrested after police were called to the scene at 4.30am, following reports a black Mercedes car had crashed into pedestrians.

A 58-year-old man also sustained life-changing injuries in the same crash and was taken to hospital. A third woman, aged in her 30s, was treated for minor injuries.

The Metropolitan Police previously said the incident was not being treated as terror-related.

A video circulating online captured the terrifying moment a car drove into a group of people outside the club

Carrington, of Broadfield Road, Manchester, is also accused of dangerous driving, being nearly twice the drink-drive limit and causing injuries to two other people.

She appeared at Westminster Magistrates' Court last Tuesday and was remanded into custody to next appear at the Old Bailey on May 19.

Detective Chief Inspector Alison Foxwell, who is leading the investigation, said: 'We would like to express our deepest sympathies to Klaudia's family and friends in light of this tragic update. Our thoughts are also with everyone impacted by this incident.

'We recognise that this case has generated significant interest and discussion on social media; however, we would urge the public to refrain from further speculation.

'We also ask that people do not share graphic footage out of respect for Klaudia's loved ones and for those who have been injured.

'The circulation of such material could also undermine our ongoing criminal investigation and potentially prejudice future court proceedings.'

While Ms Zakrzewska still remained alive in a critical condition last week, her mother posted on the GoFundMe page set up to help cover legal fees and medical costs.

Carrington appeared in court to face charges including attempted murder, which were later amended to murder, and made a heart sign from the dock

She wrote: 'My daughter is currently in a coma and desperately fighting for her life. This is the most devastating time our family has ever faced.

'Anyone who knew my gorgeous daughter knows how truly wonderful she is.

'She has touched so many people with her pure heart and kindness.'

The fundraiser has now seen more than £27,000 donated to support Ms Zakrzewska's grieving family.
