Two women have been rushed to hospital after a car left the road and ploughed into a cafe.
The white Toyota Camry smashed into diners at Bakers Choice on Watsonia Road, in Melbourne's north-east, shortly before 2.30pm on Wednesday.
Horrifying CCTV footage showed a table sitting two women was directly struck by the car.
One woman was trapped under the car as it hit the cafe next door.
She taken to the Royal Melbourne Hospital in a serious condition.
The second woman was thrown from her seat and rushed to Austin Hospital.
Both women are now in a stable condition.
'We just heard a whole lot of screaming and you heard something smash,' Tony Rabie, a worker at the neighbouring cafe, told 7News.

'We came running out from the barber shop next door and unfortunately there was an old lady just trapped under the car and another lady in front of the bakery.'
The driver of the Camry had been parked next to the table when they lost control of the car.
Victoria Police confirmed no charges were laid over the incident.
