At least five people were rushed to the hospital following a reported stabbing at a high school in Tacoma, Washington.
The Tacoma Fire Department said crews were called to Foss High School just before 1.40pm Thursday on reports of a possible stabbing, KOMO reports.
When crews then arrived on the scene, they found five total victims, whom they transported to local hospitals.
Those victims include four children and a security guard, four of whom are in at least serious condition, Public Information Officer Chelsea Shepherd told The News Tribune.
Preliminary radio traffic also suggests at least one of the children suffered severe chest injuries and a security guard also reportedly suffered cut injuries, the Puget Press reports.
One suspect is in custody, with police confirming to My Northwest that the suspect is a student at the school.
It is believed that the stabbing occurred following a fight at the school, one of the 911 calls to dispatchers suggests.
