An Arizona man allegedly executed his wife outside their gated community home then lit a cigar as he watched their daughter frantically try to save her life.
Robert Marin, 60, allegedly shot and killed his wife Heather Marin, 50, outside their home in Waddell, about 30 miles west of Phoenix, on March 16.
Prosecutors said their youngest daughter, 17, witnessed the shooting after hearing her mother begging for her life, pleading 'please don't kill me, please don't kill me', police said.
As the young girl tried to desperately administer CPR, Marin allegedly shrugged his shoulders and walked away to smoke a cigar while still covered in his wife's blood.
The daughter then yelled at him, 'Why would you do this?', according to a probable cause affidavit first reported by Law & Crime.
According to reported court records, the couple were separated at the time of the shooting, and were in the process of getting a divorce.
Officers arrived at the home to find Heather dead at the scene before arresting her husband inside the garage, where he had allegedly been enjoying a cigar.
Robert Marin is now facing charges of first-degree murder, domestic violence, disorderly conduct with a weapon, and tampering with evidence, records show.
He has been held on a $2 million cash bail for the two months since the shooting. This week, Marin's attorney requested a judge lower the bond amount, while Heather's family pleaded with a judge to keep him behind bars.

Heather's brother, Aaron Cooley, said he fears that Marin would be able to pay a high bond if the judge lowers it, and said he knew his sister was having issues in her relationship before the shooting.
'Right now, it’s set at $2 million cash, but if they lower it only to a secured [bond] — even if it’s $2 million secured bail — he has the means,' he said.
'If all he has to come up with is $200,000, he’s out.'
Cooley said Heather's loved ones fear that Marin could be a threat if he is released ahead of his murder trial.
'He is a danger to my family, me, maybe the rest of the family,' he alleged.
Cooley said Heather was not living at the home at the time, but went there after receiving a call from her youngest daughter and hearing yelling in the background, per AZ Family.
In charging documents, police said their daughter 'explained she had confronted her father with her concerns about the dynamics of the separation' from her mother, saying that it 'likely fueled' an argument before the shooting.
'He had said a lot of things on the phone that made her think she needed to get over there and rescue her daughter,' Cooley added.
He alleged that his sister was then killed 'right in front of their daughter', before Robert then callously watched the chaos unfold.
'He then went in the garage, lit a cigar, sat down and smoked a cigar while he watched his 17-year-old daughter perform CPR on her dying mother,' Cooley alleged.

When Robert Marin was taken into custody, police said he was found with 'blood on his clothing and shoes', and said he immediately dropped to his knees upon their arrival and was detained 'without making any statements', per documents.
'Deputies noted a strong odor of alcohol coming from Marin,' police added.
Cooley said while he believed his sister was in a troubled marriage, 'I never thought it would go this far.'
'There was a history of abuse dating back over a decade,' he said.
Prosecutors alleged in court documents that there is evidence of unreported domestic violence incidents, including threatening messages that Robert allegedly sent his wife.
Criminal filings obtained by the Daily Mail also show Marin was charged with domestic violence in 1994 and with disorderly conduct in 1986, both in Ohio.
